What kind of self-respecting boomer shooter has a leveling system and lacks proper quicksaves?

Too much flash, not enough substance.

Good game. However, in order to get the full effect of the story, you need to complete the EDF 5 story first.
I AM NOT JOKING! THIS IS NOT SARCASM!

Good game, but requires you to play EDF 4.1 in order to understand the deep lore implications and references.

I bought this game years ago around when it originally released. For some reason I never bothered playing past the first area, until just now in the current year of 2023. Surprise! Turns out a game that spawned a bunch of sequels/spin-offs and copycats is pretty damn good! For some reason I was expecting this game to be a long, annoying, slog where you have to constantly sneak past invincible enemies. But the game is actually well paced, the zones are pretty brief, and there aren't even that many monsters in the game. What I did find weird, was that there are a few "physics" based puzzles where the solution is to throw an object at another object, or stand on a box so you can reach something. Not really a complaint, just thought it was odd. Maybe it was just the time it was made. Anyway, game good, play it.

Probably the best spiritual sequel to system shock. Of course, I've only played Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite; so I'll just take everyone else's word for it. Anyway, the game is great aside from the last quarter where you fight mostly boring robot enemies.

This game has one gimmick that it does really, really, well. But, it's not the scares. I don't know if there are any other games where shooting in slow motion is done as well.

If you've heard anyone say that this game is worse than DOOM 2016, they are very, very wrong.
