*chuckles* its a good game, sir

classic-feeling game with tight controls (once you get used to them) with a wide variety of monsters, weapons, and upgrades to find. the areas are distinct and the music is also banging

also, its genuinely a fun game to speedrun with interesting routes and is super easy to learn!

A short but sweet experience combining pinball with exploration and abilities. While I do wish it were a little longer, it doesn't overstay its welcome and introduces unique levels with a great visual style and wonderful sound design + music (with a slightly adaptive soundtrack in subareas)!
The mechanics are solid although (at the end of the day, it's pinball) there's some times where you can feel a little out-of-control of where the ball is going. The powers feel well-implemented and almost always have an easy use-case.
Never be afraid to use Focus whenever you have to if you're having trouble with a specific hit. Especially don't forget that you can Inspect the area around you if you are ever feeling lost or stuck (this happened to me during the orbit room).

It took me about 3 hours or so to beat, and I plan on going back to try and beat it without using Focus mode! If you're looking for a great short game to kill some time, I would definitely recommend it!

Squeezed with a violent snare,
An egg tightly clutched without care.
A power awoken,
Released and unbroken,
An egg with one second to spare.

short and sweet platformer! the music and art are wonderful, and the level design is strong! everything is built around the central gimmick of switching to and from the shadow, and for the most part is very solid. the last two bosses are a bit of a pain to complete without getting hit, but all in all kind of just serve as a small challenge (they are all 3-hit jump on head bosses).

if you enjoy short platformers with great cohesion and sense-of-self then i would highly recommend you pick it up!

this game has an interesting flow to it but i cannot in good conscience recommend it. the game feels very slow progression-wise and never really felt good to play. after playing >20 hours and in what i believe to be the endgame, it feels grind-y and all my motivation to continue playing has completely drained. after a certain point theres just nothing to do. despite definitely not having completed everything it just feels like there's no allure or draw to obtaining the nuclear stuff or whatever.

ultimately, this game suffers from some fundamental flaws that persist throughout the whole playthrough of the game. over time they get a bit more prevalent and just sour the experience. any saving grace hoped for by the supposed multiplayer update will never come...

short, fun, and addicting!
its a neat little arcade game, similar to watermelon game, but with cute little pool balls. it's got a few achievements to get you to score high (but i dont think i'm good enough at it to get them haha)

definitely check it out if you like small little arcade games!

a very fun and goofy medroidvania experience, filled with peter! just like classic NES games, this game has a very simple control scheme that just consists of moving, jumping, and attacking. it's also got a really charming and grooving soundtrack, plus with some classic sound design. overall, a pretty solid experience with some neat secrets and bonus modes, to boot! also the final boss is really damn cool.

some tips that i have if you find yourself frustrated:
- platforming and movement can feel slippery or floaty but its also something you kind of just need to get used to. no game is built the same and you can't expect every game to play the same! if you ever have issues with the platforming there is no problem with using the "Easy" mode to make things a little nicer for you.
- if combat feels overbearing at times, just remember that the enemy peters aren't on the same team! they can (and will) take each other out, and you can also use bug (press up when staring at the screen) to attack the enemies.
- yes the game has insta-kill spikes, but they're not that big of a deal. you're often given many save points nearby that mitigate any loss of progress if you use them often -- don't be afraid to go back to a save if you're not sure!

Absolutely one of the most unique and fun character in the game, right next to Mary from the Amplified DLC. An amazing character combined with banger Vocaloid tracks (not to mention the two new Danny B originals!) that you can still use and get achievements for is in incredible addition to the game. I thought the game was done after Amplified, I thought it was done after Synchrony, but now I think BYG has many many things that they're still cooking for Necrodancer.
