First off all, this game proves why Jeffery Epstein didn't kill himself.

This game was different than the preceding games. Some may call this not as good as the rest, and I can understand why they would say that (especially with all that foot fetish ♥♥♥♥ ewww) , but the reality of the situation, actually being a young adult in the late 2000's, this game was the only logical evolution, and I appreciate that. The dev really knew what he was doing and I was deeply reminded of my youth. A lot of us knew people exactly like Nicole and Jecka, Emily and Kelly, Crispin and Jeffery. I know this series is a gross dramatization of what it was like being 18 back then, but it really hit home for me.

Thanks SBN3. You brought me back to my youth, and it's kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥. We look back on it with such deep nostalgia, but looking back on it critically... should I really romanticize that part of my life as I do?

The answer is "Hell Yeah, I absolutely should!"

The Creek in the closing days was no longer a battlefield, but rather a holy land. If you were lucky enough to survive your first few baptisms by oil, you were something more than just a Helldiver, you became a Creek Crawler. You were a crusader that looked into the eyes of raiders and saw that those binary bastards knew only hate. Democracy was your sword and Liberty was your shield. The men who dropped beside you were more than just other divers, they were your brothers. After awhile, you'd start to forget what the bugs looked like. You get so used to the ion storms that you forgot how to call in stratagems, your map just became a pretty picture, and your R-63 was the only thing you could trust. Whatever design you had on your cape would be forever lost in the stains of oil. A Creek Crawler doesn't just spill oil... they bathe in it.

Is this game worth your time? Yes, absolutely. It does have "old game running on modern hardware" problems, so you will need DashFaction (link at the bottom of the review) to lock it to 60fps, otherwise you'll run into bugs caused by high frame rate, but despite that, the game runs very well for it's age. I also highly recommend remapping the "use" button from "Enter" to "E" so you can have a more modern control scheme.

There are a lot of western VNs hitting the market nowadays, and most of them are complete and utter garbage. This one is not. It is one of the few VNs that have emerged from an ocean of trash titles and has proven itself as actually good. The story is well written and most incoherencies in the story are actually by design, the art exceeds expectations, and the soundtrack is something that you can vibe to, but most importantly, the dev said that there might be some macarons involved if we can get him to 500 reviews, and you gotta help a guy out when they ask, but that's besides the point.

I actually like how the dev captured the feeling of Florida. I had lived there for a short time as a youth, and between the backgrounds, color-palates, blended with the soundtrack, yeah, it felt like Florida. I have a lot of respect for someone that can convey the feeling of a place through art. That is something I genuinely appreciate.

I'll probably pick up the dev's next release.

I don't remember why I bought this game or how it ended up in my library, but this game gives you a lot of bang for your buck. It's genuinely fun and you can't say that about a lot of games made nowadays.

This is one of the most coherent thing I have experienced in a long time.
I love it. It doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. You know exactly what you're going to get with it.
$.99 gets you an experience that's worth WAY more.
