August 2024 Update:
Behavior decided it would be a fantastic idea to remove support for Nvidia Filters! Now you won't be able to brighten up the game if you can't see anything, making playing Survivor and Killer significantly worse. It reminds me of the time they removed 21:9 Ultrawide support when it was working just fine in the game (they could easily bring it back now that there is an FOV slider, for Killer at least, but they want to gatekeep accessibility on their own terrible game. A good example of this is not being able to see the loadouts of your teammates on PC, but you can on DBD Mobile..)

Edit: May 2021:
The new injured running animation looks like trash and the new graphical changes to grass and overall lighting make the game look less spooky and more like a port of the mobile game.

I have to add.. the developers are STILL the laziest developers I've ever met in my life. No resolution options or vsync options in-game after all these years. And no way to get the game running in 1920x1080 on a 2560x1080 Ultrawide 21:9 monitor without running in windowed mode, which sucks. Behavior.. just add black bars so a 21:9 monitor looks like 16:9 so I don't have this horrible Vert- FOV problem with your game. Ever since buying an Ultrawide I've stopped supporting the devs and buying their cosmetics/battle pass and buying their DLC. Laziest developers I've ever seen that they can't add basic support or options in a game that's been around for years.

2019 Review:
Behavior is so frustrating as a game developer, they do not support proper 21:9 which I understand for this game, but if you play in 21:9 the FOV is massively screwed up. It is way way worse than 16:9. They need to fix it so the FOV is the same but black bars are added to the sides even at 21:9 because at the moment owning an ultrawide monitor and playing this game is a super big chore.

I bought an LG Ultrawide monitor and this game does NOT support Ultrawide support anymore. The developers actually removed it because of future plans with Crossplay I'm assuming. Keep the FOV the same but allow Ultrawide.. This game has such ♥♥♥♥♥♥ options it's ridiculous how it's become so successful. You cannot change the resolution in the menu options (have to edit an .ini file to change resolution and change v-sync options)
Developers, put Ultrawide 21:9 support back into the f'ing game please, you guys piss off your player base to no end yet somehow still make money.

Old 16:9 Aspect Ratio review where my review was previously positive:
I do appreciate the developers have stuck with this game as long as they have and have tried their best to make it better, I just feel they need to listen to their community more when it comes to balancing ideas and issues. There are some REALLY good players on both survivor and killer side who know what they're doing in this game and some times it seems like the developers just do not listen. That isn't always the case but when it comes to something like the MLGA mod that used to be whitelisted (so you could mark people who would rage quit or have horrible ping, so you would know to not play with that person in the future) then they make it black listed so you can potentially get banned for using it, when it used to be a mod that was great to use.. stuff like that makes me upset.

Regardless of all the issues I've had with the developers, it is still a fun game that they have a lot of love for and you can tell.
