this game looked cool but like this sucks. It was almost cool when the game would let you play the game, but everything that isn't shooting is just bad, and the game is mostly not shooting. isn't that crazy? a first person arena shooter that doesn't let you shoot things. instead the game focuses on the story, and the worst part is that the story also sucks.... like what were they thinking with this?

The only thing I don't like about this game is that it does get a bit repetitive at the end, but for most of this game, it is insanely good. The core gameplay loop is fun the whole way through, and this game just feels like it never ends.

I honestly regret not playing this game sooner. It definitely does a great job of modernizing Final Fantasy VII and is just a pretty great game in general. The Intermission is kinda bad though ngl.

One of the best games ever made and a great sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Probably my favorite game in the entire series.

Replayed through the main game and played the DLC for the first time and I will say that this is a really good game. It definitely starts out slow but picks up as the game goes on and the expansions are amazing, especially if you're a fan of Alan Wake. This is my favorite game by Remedy so far.

This game was really good overall but I just have a few minor issues so I'll get to them first.

1. Why do I need to watch the cutscene for the police coming in EVERY TIME? Like it would be fine if it was just for the first time I encountered an enemy or something but it's just annoying because I'll be playing the game, have good momentum going and then there's a cutscene of the police coming in, so then I'll keep playing and then I'll hit another graffiti and boom another cutscene. This is probably the most fixable issue in the game, just take the cutscenes out past the first time. If you want to indicate that there are going to be stronger enemies on the field, then just have a police radio message come in, but you don't have to interrupt the flow of gameplay every single time.

2. The combat is awful. While it isn't quite as bad as Jet Set Radio Future's combat, the combat here still is not good at all. It feels incredibly unresponsive and clunky, and just in general I tried to avoid combat encounters entirely. I get that the game isn't combat focused so this doesn't bother me too much but like it's still really bad.

3. The soundtrack is just alright. There are a few really good songs in this game, my favorites were Refuse and condensed milk, but none of the other songs were as good as some from Jet Set Radio Future such as Rockin the Mic, Aisle 10, Like it Like this Like that, or Funky Dealer. The songs in this game weren't really bad or anything, I just didn't find many of them to be that memorable.

Okay those are basically the only negatives, but other than that, I would say this game is really great. I'm not sure if this is a controversial opinion or not but honestly this is easily better than Jet Set Radio or Jet Set Radio Future. This game basically takes the concept of those games and turns that concept into something really great. The game isn't as clunky and the story is better. Also this game just feels so much more responsive. I mean this could be a bit biased considering that I'm playing this on PC with an Xbox One controller, as opposed to playing Jet Set Radio Future on Xbox 360 with an Xbox 360 controller, but until Jet Set Radio Future releases on PC (please sega), I can say that Bomb Rush is the better feeling game. Overall, I can easily recommend this if you're a fan of Jet Set Radio or even if you're just interested in playing those games.

I've been waiting for this game to fully release to complete my playthrough of it, and honestly, I think that was a great idea because this game is amazing. This is one of the best games to come out in the last few years and I think it's just incredibly fun.
