Good game.

Pros:
- The combat was really fun. Incredible amount of possible build and you're not locked by your class which gives you infinite combinations.
- The story was also very interesting, I was surprised at its turns more than once.
- Great companions. Very well written.
- Interesting moral choices.
- Played Fane, would recommend it. Gives you more reasons to be involved in the story.

Cons:
- Combat tough -for me.
- The story has nothing to do with the DD, BD and Ego Draconis. Its like the writters have no idea what those games were about. Also I hate when a writter / DM (in tabletop) takes liberties with my previous characters. A LOT of liberties taken here and Ego Draconis story is completely ignored. Basically, just think of it as another universe.
- Played Fane and I knew less about Fane's past than someone who just had him as a companion. Thankfully I got the info on the forums otherwise I would have been like "Oh... I have five hundred children and harem of wives? Never knew! And what was it I did for a living again?"

SPOILER pet peeve:

Can i have a game with... oh, benevolent immortal powerful creatures called gods? With no secrets? You know, there's gods, they're nice/neutral guys, they occasionally help, they have no deep dark secret. Now THAT would be original! That's why I preferred Tyranny. No gods. Better that than the stereotype gods = evil, religious character = fanatic. I mean I enjoy the trope but... humour me, lets see a religious laid back happy person (Im sure Ive met quite a few real life) and a few non-homicidal gods.

Bit on the fence about this game. Its well made and has A LOT of endings and paths and roleplay options. Its also quite hard. I haven't replayed it yet but it seems like it has quite a bit of replay value. It can be frustrating but its fun.

I'd recommend it cause its a different type of game and worth the experience. Nice try from the devs. Needs a bit polishing but its a good direction in roleplaying games.

Things I enjoyed:
-Roman world setting.
-Lore that is slowly revealed through dialogs and documents but doesnt get boring
-No black and white characters. You chose who you want to ally with but there's no 'good' or 'bad' guys.
-Hilarious dialog lines. Especially if you go for the 'chosen one'.

Things I didnt enjoy:
-Difficulty. Some things can be easily missed.
-I had to use guides. I do not enjoy using guides on my first playthrough.

Just noting:
-Playing a non-combat char left me broke and underleveled. Wish there were equal reward opportunities in non-combat paths.

Good game. Open world survival. I spend some time wondering where the quest giver NPC was till I realised there wasn't one, or a quest.

Pros:
- Open world. I'm a big fan. You aren't given a quest. You're given nothing. Go do what you want.
- Building and crafting. A lot of freedom here. You can build wherever you want, whatever type of building you want, get pen and paper and design it!
- Non-politically correct.

Cons:
- Not for me I have infinite patience but... some people may get bored collecting 2000 pieces of stone to build a house.

Bonus:
Full nudity. Animated -hem hem- body parts. Body hair (Your character doesn't look like pre-teen boy. Woohoo!)

Not bad.

Pros:
- Nice side story
- Interesting wizard companion

Cons:
- Linear
- Maegar goes from cool guy to shmuck

Finished it in maybe 10 hours. In still not certain if its worth the price but would probably buy it again.

Get it if:

- You love Diablo. This game has a similar atmosphere just better done.
- You love combat, mobs, loot, endless dungeons. Did I stress that enough? ENDLESS areas with thousands of hostiles that keep coming from the sides, from the floors, from the ceilings, from thin air!

Personally, the never ending hacking with 1 line of dialog ever 30m, bored me. But its done well for the type of game it is.

Its a great game. Its got puzzles. Its got good combat. Its got humour -a lot of it. Love it!

Maybe its that these days I'm busy and when I play I game I want to actually PLAY.

I'm 10 hours in and:

-I have no money to buy anything. I have no money to even pay a guy so he won't attack me. Which bring us to...
-Being attacked mid dialog by various NPCs which I cannot beat. Even though...
-I have been doing quests since I started playing. Which means dialogs and sneaking around. I really REALLY don't mind not killing stuff but being unable to kill anything but the base lowest of the low critter after 10 hours is about enough. Of course there's the...
-Main quest. Yeah tried one of the things listed there. Got killed on sight.

Tired of getting killed. Tired of endless dialogs, not that theyre bad, but I don't need a 3D game if I'm gonna play Torment, thank you.

If I get the inclination to progress in this game, may update my review. As it is I'm going back to somewhing I can actually play as I said in the beginning.

The basics: this is an OLD game. It is a simple game. It is a relaxing game. It is a dungeon crawl. I really enjoy it, had played it when it was new and I enjoy it just as much now. Haven't hit a single bug or issue apart from the sound breaking up occasionally.

Good game. Very good.

Pros

- Story. One of the more "realistic" fantasy games I've played and I'm a sucker for just your average guys adventure. No chosen one story thank goodness. Stay away from spoilers and let things roll.
- Builds and combat. Good. If you're coming from PF though not everything is there so don't just bring your PF char build and think it will work.
- Graphics: I really, REALLY like the graphics in this game. The colours and the feel are very upbeat without being childish. Just check out the screenshots :)
- Ending. Frustrating but taking a step back... quite epic. Elaborate as an ending should be.
- Companions. Great. Very real and interesting. Elaborate personal quests, plot related in many cases, affecting the game. My definition of great companions: BG / Inquisition. Horrible: DA2 / Deadfire (romance wise).
- Bonus: I got to play a middle aged average looking character and got a portrait to match. And lefthanded and had the option for that too. Little things.

Cons

- Bugs. There's a lot but I haven't hit on many personally. None gamebreaking. If you mind not finding an npc or are a completionist that will go nuts over x location being inaccesible... wait. If you don't give a damn if the quests fail or hang in your list cause the hell with what that idiot wants -like me- you'll have fun.
- Information. The journal isn't the best. Not much info there to help you and its updates are generic "Then our hero was asked to act" but if you look back to see how the hero acted... no info there. I enjoy a good journal, this isn't one. Also some description of items / spells in game may leave you wondering.
- Alignment: TURN THAT CRAP OFF if you play and play a person not a stereotype. Alignment is a guide not a cage. (PSA for the day)

For any gamer who doesnt mind the graphics of the first two games, I have never played through a better story. Ever. Bring tears to your eyes and all that, literally. This game has been amazing. No further details cause most of what I loved would be spoilers.

Will update the review when I play Flames of Vengeance but Ego Draconis was great. The first game ever where I was actually reading the lore books. As a continuation of the first two it is so interesting I didn't wanna stop till I finished.

Update: Finished both. Review stands. It was an amazing series. And the humour is great. I was laughing rl while playing at the various lines.
