ImagineObserve adding an anti-cheat solution to a social non-competetive virtual reality game. This hurts the innocent player base by running an intrusive kernel-level anti-cheat (a.k.a. spyware) on their computers. This doesn't stop the malicious actors from running rampant against now even less protected players. Yeah, you can't even use anti-crashers modifications to protect yourself anymore, in case you used these. They didn't even bother coming up with actual security-oriented features to protect your experience first. Enjoy your degraded performance (background scanning), privacy nightmare (upload of flagged files with potentially sensible information and log files to Epic's servers) and security-risk (increased attack surface); without any improvements to the gameplay.

Just for your information: Apparently they didn't even bother banning people/accounts when they detect these awful modifications (regardless how harmful or innocent these were or are). There are no drawbacks or inconveniences for reverse engineers trying to bypass the Easy Anti-Cheat implementation. They can try over and over again to circumvent that "protection" without getting banned until they succeed. Easy Anti-Cheat is only harmful towards their innocent player-base.

Finally, as a last word, they don't really care about their community - apparently only money talks. It doesn't matter what they write in their release notes or in announcements. Their words are meaningless if they ignore (or take months/years to implement) long-standing years old features requests. The most recent, most upvoted (> 20k) request to not-add/remove Easy Anti-Cheat to/from the game was dropped. They also don't care about negative reviews, because "they prepared for months" before pushing this controversial update their community never wanted.

If you liked the singleplayer, then try the multiplayer: Multi Theft Auto San Andreas.

I really enjoy the many settings this tool provides for SteamVR. You can easily maneuver yourself with the space drag inside the VR world, reset the space drag with a simple bind and many many more things. I recommend buying the donation DLCs, if you want to support the developers behind this free toolbox.

Absolutely worth the large donation price tag. This tool is always running in the background when I use SteamVR and I never had any issues with it.
