I've never really played a game like this before in terms of turn-based combat. I tried to play Divinity Original Sin 2 a long time ago but it just didn't seem to click with me at the time. After starting BG3 in Early Access, I was just swept away with the story, the characters and the world and I'm just gobsmacked. Larian have truly knocked it out of the park and I really can't wait to see what they put out next. Having an absolute blast.

EDIT 28/11/2024 - Since I last wrote a review, Larian have added official modding support which has blown the game wide open for the average user. Larian have continued to put their hearts into this game, patch after patch. With cross-play, a new subclass for each class and a photo mode to arrive in January, it looks like I'm going to have to start another playthrough!
