Long story short: The devs do seem to be trying, and the game is now in a state that I would call both fun and playable. It feels much closer to an improved PD2 than a separate IP like before, and you can now actually get exp for just playing a heist instead of doing some of the worst challenges. It's still a bit overpriced, low on content, and guns take a while to unlock attachments, but I'm finding myself having fun with it and wanting to play more.

TLDR: MUCH better than before, but if you don't own it, I'd wait just a bit longer for it to either finish baking so to speak, or crash again hard.
