Another masterpiece coming out of FromSoft and one of the only games in recent memory to really live up to the hype.

10/10.

+ The only real positive I can commend the game for is the combat which feels fantastic. Would love to see more of this in other ARPGs/MMOS

- Incredibly boring leveling experience, with the typical shoved in f2p 'features'. Feels like i'm playing a mobile game.

- The gathering has a stamina bar to limit how much you can do at once. Why is this a thing?

- The founders packs are only a one-time use, why? Servers were flooded with queues over 20000. I changed server to a less populated one because of this but can't even make use of the pack I paid for.

- The voice acting, atleast in english, and overall story is not great if you care about those sort of things. Might as well just skip all the dialogue and cutscenes here.

- The zones themselves aren't particularly interesting, nothing noteworthy to do in them other than a world boss for some nice loot.

If you're in it just for a good time and don't care about any of the progression or monetization aspects of the game, then give this game a try, for everyone else I would not recommend this, atleast for the time-being.


+ Core gameplay loop is satisfying if you're a Halo fan.

+ Art style is more in line with the Bungie era of games, the Spartans look fantastic.

+The music is also more in-line with what we got from the Bungie era games.

+ Some of the new weapons introduced into the Sandbox are satisfying, in particular the Mangler and Shock Rifle.


- Terrible progression, incredibly slow and possibly one of the worst I've seen.

- Challenges discourage Players from playing the objectives.

- Can't pick your own colours anymore, have to get 'coatings' instead which are very limited, no sense in player expression.

-Unable to mix and match armour pieces and coatings between the different kits (Colours you unlock for Mark VII kit can't be used on the Mark V).

- Can't choose individual game-modes to play, forced to play whatever is given to you in the playlist.

- Missing many game-modes currently. (Where is Infection / SWAT??)

- Poor optimization.

- No collision is absolutely terrible, makes CQC feels horrid when you're trying to hit someone and instead just walk straight through them.

- RNG vehicles. I personally much prefer the old system of having the vehicles present on the maps rather than being delivered.


In all honesty, my expectations were already low for this seeing as it was F2P, and all my fears were realized. Features stripped away and left barebones for the sake of monetization, I hope 343 can turn this around and I will be keeping an eye on its development, but for the time being I cannot recommend this. Lets hope we see major changes in the months to come or I fear this game will die out.

If you don't care whatsoever for progression and just want to have a fun time then try it out, the gameplay itself is quite fun and it has the potential to be something great, but right now it isn't it. Hopefully by the time the full release comes around we will have already seen some changes/additions to the game to improve the experience.

A few bugs here and there but otherwise it's a fantastic Lego game, especially if you're a fan of DC.

After all these years, this trilogy is still one of the best sci-fi games you'll ever play and one of my all time favourites.

Your paid content has an expiry date on them. Enough said.

3. Go to DLC and uncheck everything except for zombies and its associated DLC.
