HUGE GUTS!!
Doom Eternal is everything i wanted it to be, it takes the already excellent combat of Doom 2016 and cranks it up to 11 with faster movement, new abilities, more freedom of movement with mid-air dashes and double jumps and tons of gore and brutal execution moves.
You're basically a big walking rock hard ♥♥♥♥ in power armour and the combat flow is some of the best i've played in recent memory with all of Doom Guy's abilities having a use as killing enemies with them refills your health, armour and ammo. There's some insanely over the top battles in this game.
Even on normal difficulty some of the fights later in the game are relentless but it has a great balance between challenge and heroic power fantasy.
A game like Dark Souls can sometimes be too hard and get annoying but the challenge in Doom Eternal makes you feel badass when you overcome it.
The game is also full of fan service and easter eggs and the story sort of takes itself seriously but at the same time it's aware of how silly the whole thing is. There's huge cyborg spiders with cannons strapped to their heads ffs.

I'm using a GTX 1060, the game runs buttery smooth and the graphics are excellent with every level looking like a power metal album cover.

I don't really care for the multiplayer mode, it's cool that they wanted to try something different but i would have been happy with more standard modes like deathmatch and capture the flag. The shooting and movement controls would have made those modes super fun.

Top tier kickass game, maybe a little long and bloated but still kickass.
Not for the mortally challenged.
