I have tried the content editor for all Age of Empires games. Yes, this content editor is completely different from previous titles. And yes it does take a while before someone is able to use these tools properly, you need to spend some time. But once you become more experienced, these tools allow so much more compared to the previous games! It is a lot of trial and error at the beginning because the documentation is not too wild, yet I believe everyone that want to edit something about AoE IV should try it out.
