A wonderful game. Too bad it crashed all the time.

A great game. Might be one of the best indie-games out there. It compares really well to AAA-games.

But it does have problems. There is a lot of bugs and the game kinda runs out of new content at 40 hours. Don't get me wrong here! 40 hours is still great value. Just saying that the game loses some of the original magic at that point.

It's a very nicely made game. But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is it impossible. 13 games and still have not been close. Closest thing to self-mutilation you will ever get. I'm waiting for the campaign for the moment. If i lose one more game of hours of work - i might just hang myself. One mistake will cost you everything.

One of the best stories around. But in my opinion maybe the worst combat system i've seen. It feels like a way worse version of the Dragon Age: Origins.
I appreciate the versatility and the "every playthrough is different" aspect, but the combat is just way too frustrating to me. So much micromanaging and positioning and AI is a nightmare.
I truly love the cause and effect this game has - the fact that your choices truly matter is awesome. But again. The shift from a loong conversation with no talking-audio, just music, totally down to earth, zero pulse moments to full on combat with you overwhelmed 4 to 6 and you have to micromanage everything. It goes from 0 to 100 real fast. Some might like that, but i would rather it stick to one or the other. Or at least find a middleground.
I really love the story and i am truly sad that i can't overcome the combat system. A true shame.
I am also baffled by the inventory system - it baffles me that they made it overcomplicated.

EDIT: Most of the bugs, glitches and graphical issues have been fixed. Therefore you can disregard that in this review.
7/10 - Good game, worth the buy.

Let me start this off by saying that I love this game. I was maybe the biggest fan of the first game, and have always recommended that game to everyone i know. This one is great too, but has some faults here and there. Personally i dislike the Corvo voice, i kinda liked that he was silent. That meant that he was thinking whatever i was thinking, therefore making it easier to get into him and his motivations. Now i think him kind of weak really.

My biggest grief, like so many, is the graphics. This cannot be right. I have an i5 4690 and a GTX 970 OC'ed. I cannot run this at medium settings, with everything turned off with a decent FPS. I have been mostly ok with a 50-60 fps with standard resolution scaling at 75, until the Dust District. Here everything goes nuts. Resolution scaling at minimum and everything low - if i look to the sky or up at buildings, i have 10 fps.
I mean - what is going on. I can run The Witcher 3 at 1440p with medium-high no problems. This i cant even run at low??
I can forgive the funny glitches and the bugs, like Corvo not showing up in the tutorial, or the witch that blinks from one point to another again and again, untill killed. But I cannot recommend this game until that is optimized. I fear that people will stay away from this otherwise great game. Please fix this soon. I will change this review when that time comes.

The boring repetitive gameplay kills the game. I loved the mafia franchise, even the last game. But this is staight up boring. Doing the same things over and over, and too many bugs to count. The story seems good, and the soundtrack is awesome - just not enough to keep you going.
Clay - the main guy - seems interesting at first, but gets boring once his revenge-plot just turns to mass murdering without any real motivation. Scripted missions are actually good, but there is too far between them with the same kill, destroy repeat missions.
I regret buying this. Do not buy - watch gameplay videos instead, since there is no personal choices that effect the game.

One of the worst games i've bought. If you love wasting time, this is your game. Don't get me wrong. I aprreciate the creators work on the enviroment and such. But the gameplay is dull. This is an almost non-exsisting interactive story game. The story didn't draw me in at all. You walk around in almost slow motion, listening and nothing more. You just listen to people talk about nothing really.
It should have been a movie or something - not a game. Do not be fooled by the critics 5/5. It is an artistic game with beautiful graphics for sure! But it also suffers from terrible frame stuttering. I have an i5 & a GTX 970OC - I should have been able to play it smooth, but even on medium settings, it is horrible. It is the most boring thing I have ever touched.

If you enjoy being defeated in every turn, and feel as if you have destroyed an entire familiy this game is for you.

This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. I hate it with the greatest passion.

Don't buy this if you want to play with your friends. I havnt been able to at all. I only bought it to play multiplayer, but we only experience huge lag and very unstable games. Sometimes you can play with lag, sometimes it just gives you a sync error. It works fine in singleplayer - no problem there. We have open ports, nothing running in the background - nothing helps.
Oh, and we are not the only ones. There are plenty of people with this problem, and it has not been adressed by any of the developers. Poor reboot of a great game.
