If you enjoy Vampire Survivors, you owe it to yourself to buy this DLC. It has more characters and weapons than the base game. Almost more than the base game and all the previous DLC combined. If that alone doesn't sell you on it then I don't know what will.

As someone who's barely a Castlevania fan (I've only played Symphony of the Night) I still enjoyed the hell out of it. The final boss, credits, and post-credits sequence had me hootin' and hollerin' the whole time. And the music! Oh my god, the music is so good! All credit to the original composers, but these remixes are INCREDIBLE! I am hoping and praying they'll release the entire OST at some point, I would pay so much for it.

The game had a rocky launch, but like many other modern games it has been improved and updated to the state it really should have been in at launch.

I don't know of anything that quite scratches the same itch as the Darktide Psyker, and that has been true since beta. Now that a number of the more annoying kinks have been worked out, I can honestly recommend it.

The worst part is the EA App infecting this collection like a cancer. It's the reason my first run was using an alternative source, let's say. But when it went on sale I took another look, and found there are ways around it - check the Steam guides.

The game's small enough that I keep it installed so I can boot it up and do a couple runs every once in awhile. My play sessions are never very long, to prevent my eyes from melting out of my skull, but I genuinely enjoy the gameplay enough to keep coming back, even after 100%'ing it.

Can't believe I almost missed this one. It's a short, linear experience, but polished to a mirror shine.

2023 has been an absolutely stacked year for games - and I played a lot of them - but Hi-Fi Rush still manages to stand out. If it weren't for Baldur's Gate 3, this would easily be my GOTY.

Edit: I'm baffled by Microsoft's business decisions.

A fantastic little RPG. Love the characters, love the setting, love the story. Never once did I encounter a glitch, scripting bug, crash, or anything of the sort. It's incredibly well put-together.

As far as I know, I completed all the content with an in-game playtime of about 20 hours (no idea why Steam says otherwise). There were quite a few moments where side quests I completed were referenced in the main story, especially at the end. I'm curious what happens if you don't do them, but not enough for a play-through where I purposefully skip content. I think that would physically hurt me. Anyway, I was impressed that things I assume are optional got worked in like that.

Combat difficultly actually scaled pretty close to my liking. Never got too easy or too hard. It was challenging enough to make me actually have to pay attention, but I only had characters go down a handful of times throughout the whole game. Never once more than 1 at a time, which of course means I never got a game over. That's how I like it, but if you're looking for a challenge you're going to have to limit yourself.

Finally, all I can say about the music is that it doesn't take center stage very often, but when it does it's incredible. Really enhances the experience. Most of it is fantastic, the rest is still good. I bought the soundtrack, and I listen to it pretty often.

A lot harder than Risk of Rain 2. I never played the original, so I can't comment on the differences, but it's a refreshing change after so much time spent in 2.

I'm a bit disappointed in the survivor balance. Maybe I'm just bad, but in my experience most of them aren't very good. I haven't figured out how to actually make Artificer work. Pilot and Sniper clean house, though. I wish every character was on their level.

A short but very competently-made Metroidvania.

A full playthrough took me about 4 hours. I think I 100%'d it - it's hard to tell without achievements - but I used a fan-made map to track everything down. I get the most enjoyment out of solving the platforming puzzles, so I skipped the aimless wandering. If you're the type who likes to find everything yourself, you'll definitely have more playtime, the game world is pretty big - certainly larger than i expected.

The music is fantastic. While groovin' it to the Empty Bailey theme, I said to my friends in Discord "Oh, I'm gonna have to buy the Pseudoregalia soundtrack now." and the final boss theme cemented that. Turns out it's name-your-price on Bandcamp!

Hand-in-hand, the audio design is great. The standout to me was the little tuba-player enemies. The first time I found one I just kept circle-strafing it and giggling. The little intake of breath and the TOOT are perfect. Also the first time I climbed a pole, I hit the ceiling and kept climbing to keep hearing the noise, it's great.

I feel obligated to mention the goat-bunny-lady's significant asset. It's hard not to notice, but if you find yourself staring you should check out the the accessibility section of the options menu. It might help you focus more on the gameplay.

I can't believe they killed this game.

It wasn't anything groundbreaking, but it clearly had a lot of love behind it. They were dedicated to showcasing a wide variety of unique units - not just the popular ones - and it shows in their roster.

Listen, it was monetized to hell. Some of the units were frustrating to fight. The team made a few incomprehensible balancing decisions. All this is true. But to cancel it after just over a year? It didn't deserve the LawBreakers treatment.

Saw one of my friends playing this game, and I was intrigued enough to buy it. It wasn't long before I surpassed him, and then I went on to 100% it. At least for now - they're always adding new content.
