While that is extreme. Competition is keep to keeping companies from going bad. Look at Nvidia. Their cards quality have gone down over the years. Why? Cause they have no real competition. Steam has been doing the same thing. It quality has gone down hill. Plus I prefer game companies for not treating me like thieves all the time. Honestly when I can pirate a game and get better quality from the game. Because the pirates removed the DRM and ♥♥♥♥ that hurts performance. That should tell you something.

Like all they are doing is getting me wanting to pirate more and more. I do not but the temptation is getting strong. Specially when you get games like Dying Light 2. Which I hear not only does the pirated one run better. It also has less bugs and problems.

The alternative to that is "Here's 40 different company's exclusive platforms, buy them on all these different platforms"
