My friends and I have enjoyed EDF since 4.1 came to Steam, and we're having a blast with EDF6.
Is it a perfect, flawless experience? No.
Is it an enjoyable co-op horde shooter with the charm of a B-movie? Absolutely.

The action is fun and challenging, the four player classes mean there's several different ways to play, the diverse enemy types demand you constantly assess and address the situation.

the Epic integration isn't ideal, but it's also not a huge problem. The worst part of it is that, whenever you earn an achievement, Epic's notification eats your mouse inputs until it goes away - bad, but it doesn't happen often and doesn't last long. The game itself steals your camera controls more often, unless you disable the 'camera effects' option.

If you've enjoyed prior EDF games - especially EDF5 - I do recommend this one.
