Shadow Generations was an amazing story. Outstanding levels, great music, and more time and care put into characters like Omega, Gerald, Maria, and even a little bit of focus on Orbot and Cubot. Obviously can't forget about Black Doom and the Black Arms. Everything about this side mode was wonderful, and you can tell that's where they put most of their time, effort, and care, as a cutscene switching between the events of Sonic Generations and Shadow Generations shows this, as Shadow's cutscene is extremely well animated and fluid, while Sonic's seems a bit choppy and less enjoyable to look at for extended periods of time.
