Team Fortress 2 is quite an old but active game.
Surprisingly, the playerbase is still present, however, the critics might indicate why.
========GAMEPLAY=============
The Gameplay is where the player will choose how effective they are at beating the other team. Depending on which class you choose, you can be an offense, defense, or support character and supply your team with the resources they need to win. For example, if you play as a Pyro, you will be deadly at close quarters, but you will need to be very close, and as such, vulnerable.
Sometimes, you require flexibility and need to work around the team's necessities.
There is a high skill ceiling for most classes, such as Sniper's accuracies and Soldier's well-known Rocket Jumps.
===========Playerbase=============
Although still active, the playerbase is filled with Trolls, annoying 12 year olds, and hackers. The latter being the biggest problem. There will be hackers in nearly every game you join, which is a persistent issue that the Valve team seems to have an issue fixing. Although the players kick them out of the match, they often join times and times again. So watch for names with links (myg0t for example), or recurring names such as DoesHotter.
========Difficulty==========
Without a doubt, this is a tough game. Not for the same reasons as other FPS's. Furthermore, the difficulty of the game will scale precisely to how your team and yourself handle their classes. If there are 3 snipers and 2 spies on one side, you will be lacking the offensive power to further the Payload for example.
Keep a balanced team, know what you are doing, that's the key to win.

Simply, this is full of sponsored and non-sponsored community content. Some maps are made by other people and published on the mainstream game. There are community servers, which are not directly influenced by the Tf2 team. You can find anything and everything there. It is quite fun to be there sometimes.

Due to the problem with hackers and quite frankly how unenjoyable the playerbase is, it is hard to make a fair judgement. However, I will try my best. 6/10, a very fair rating for a good game. Recently, there were a few updates, the rating may change in the future.
