Early Access Review
I like the idea of this game, but Hammerting consumes most of my time telling me I can't play it. Obvious goals are held up by endless minutia until you find that all the keys are behind locked doors and the game isn't even playable. I've got three dwarves with no health, or money, or greed, or spirit and no way to improve their way of life. I need a dozen items that can't be traded or crafted, and monsters ensure that my dwarves will die if they stray from the home.

There doesn't seem to be healing, dwellings won't let your dwarves recover, leveling up doesn't reset HP, eating food doesn't raise HP, monsters don't seem to drop anything with healing properties and traders have nothing for you either, even if trading did work.

I can't seem to explore the overworld at all. Half of the time clicking on things doesn't provide any kind of feedback and you are left to wonder if the dwarves will eventually get to it or not. Junk lies on the ground instead of being taken to storage, or traded, missions offer no guidance for completion, buildings can be built in locations they cannot be used, and descriptions don't make it clear what they are for or how they work.

I'm just inundated with barriers and rules that don't seem to make sense. Not to mention it's just slow. The dwarves ferret back and forth ceaselessly and somehow I'm not going anywhere. I can't imagine how frustrating it may be with waves on. I can't get past the monsters already spawning in the dungeon.

All I want to do is dig holes in the ground, build a cute little underground home, and have an epic little adventure with my peeps. Why does it have to be so difficult?
