:Mung: The facade of personality is but a fragile masquerade for the ego buried deep within us all, the primal sense of self we all cling to in desperation.

Every Hello ends with a goodbye. Getting to the end isn't what's important: it's how you get there.

Sanabi is a *beautiful* pixel art platformer with a phenomenal soundtrack. The grapple mechanic is smooth and very engaging to play around in, and even as someone who doesn't speedrun games i found myself craving to try and be faster and faster by mastering momentum and dashes and pulling myself to surfaces. There was only one part that I found to be rather grating or annoying, and its limited to one chapter specific platforming gimmick regarding large red areas you cannot enter. Otherwise, it was all fun, varied, and interesting. Combat isn't the most in depth thing but it doesn't need to be: it's good, and it works. There's a hundred comparisons to Katana Zero, and its well warranted. Even the game has a direct Easter Egg to Katana Zero. This in and of itself should tell you this is very high praise.

The story is...it's very good. There are a few twists and turns that will flip everything on its head twice over, re-contextualizing all of the events you go through. Even knowing this, you won't be ready for it. It's a heartbreaking story of loss, and revenge, and the depths at which that blind hatred can truly consume you and effect the people around you. The people in the reviews aren't lying, it sucks you in and makes you cry.

There's a minuscule amount of translation errors, which can make a few sentences confusing, but overall it's been localized quite well and they are still updating them. The game is very, very good. Easy recommend.
