Early Access Review
An extremely detailed open world survival sandbox game with a bigger emphasis on creativity and cuter/casual outlook.

From the short bit i've played, game performs pretty well considering how well it looks.

Game has a certain theme its going for and nails it. Looks gorgeous and simplistic.

The open world survival part is pretty nice and adds in elements to make it more interactive such as minigames during farming/gathering.

The number of nuances in this game is unbelievably specific and tremendous (Seems to be a common theme amongst chinese developed games). You have really minute stuff happening that you'd normally wouldn't think of. Some examples include: getting hit by a chicken not only damages me but hemorrhages me / there is weather temperature details affecting your body temps (and thus your satiety and thirst) / the final blow you deal on an enemy influences the loot dropped

The menu and controls are EXTREMELY jarring and will be the biggest learning curve to get into the game. Once you're past that hoop however, the game turns out to be really fun overall.

Kind of important to note that while controller support would be really awesome in this game, given the sheer complexity it has with PC controls, i very much doubt controller will be doable on this title.

Overall, the current game in it's EA form is honestly such a joy to play. For people who enjoy casual open world sandbox, this is definitely a must try (Perhaps adding a god-mode sand box would be a nice touch for those who don't like survival mode)

Edit: Im looking through some of the negative reviews and i have to say some are pretty brain dead.

  • It's not cozy because theres a lot of things to do.

There are a lot of things you CAN do. There are not many things you NEED to do. Im guessing this review is probably from someone with OCD that wants to have perfect everything.

The bigger irony is this person played 25 hours before coming to this conclusion and then still want a refund lol. Grow up, 2 hours is more than enough to determine that this game was not your cup of tea (Not that the game itself is bad)

  • Poorly translated

Considering this was a chinese game originally translated to english, there are some slightly odd grammar especially when it comes to conversation. Honestly though the key points are still conveyed and it's not anywhere near bad as some other games i've seen.

  • Cheaply made

No idea what this means. The reviewer was probably cheaply made too. The only example of this that was given was the descriptions are "a clunky mess" and attributes "arent explained or translated properly". Descriptions are just flavor text. Attributes have a gist of what it does when hovering over it.

  • Complaints about unarmed combat on a woman (???)

??? This is just to do with the class/character base systems granting certain perks. If this was like some other RPG it could be Warrior's can 2 hand large weapons / Mage has higher mana pool / Rogue are able to perform stealth attacks etc. I'm guessing this is some SJW logic going on here.

  • No character customization

As far as i've seen, that was not advertised in anyway. This is an unrealistic expectation; the reviewer expects a burger but ordered a pizza lol.

  • Performance issues

This is probably the only valid concern i would say these negative reviews have highlighted. So far on my system (Ryzen 7 5800X + 32GB + RTX 4060) I have consistent 60 fps with very minor dips on a 1440p monitor. However if other people are hitting performance problems i do think optimization is required.

Hello TheBowWowers,

Firstly, we're glad to hear you're enjoying the open world and the creative freedom in our game. Your kind words about our games artstyle and nuances and really mean a lot to us.

We totally understand your points about the menu and controls being a bit of a hurdle. Getting feedback like this is crucial for us, especially in these early access stages, and we're actively looking into making the controls more intuitive and less jarring for new players. It's a fine balance to maintain the depth of gameplay while ensuring accessibility, and your input is incredibly valuable as we navigate these challenges.

Regarding controller support, you've touched on an important aspect that we've been discussing internally as well. Given the game's complexity, it's a challenging feat, but we're exploring all possible solutions to make our game more accessible without compromising its depth. We want everyone to have the best possible experience, regardless of their preferred control method.

We're also taking note of your suggestion for a god-mode sandbox as an alternative to the survival mode. It's an interesting idea that could open up the game to players looking for a more relaxed experience.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for being part of our game's journey. We're committed to improving and expanding the game, and feedback like yours is invaluable in this process. We can't wait for you to see what's next!

Cheers!
