I preordered Odyssey way back in December. That was a mistake. I have gotten no value from the deluxe package purchase like I have gotten from other purchases. I never partook in the Alpha as there was no Alpha. Sure there was a version of the game that was playable just a few short weeks before the official release but that was not true Alpha as in no way would any bug reports made during the "Alpha" make a difference. The released products shows this as it is very VERY much an unfinished product. I tried to give the game a week of hot fixes in hopes things would improve.. but on foot combat is laggy as hell and the game weirdly looks worse now. The character and ambiance is gone. Sure I can login using Horizon's mode but this whole experience has ruined my joy for the game. I'm just so very disappointed and feel cheated of what was promised. I'm taking a break... call me when the game is worth playing again.

Never again will I preorder a game from Frontier. I just can't trust them anymore.

UPDATE: So I see nothing's been really fixed yet. Yes, bugs have been patched but it's not ready yet. Now that they have all but officially dropped VR support (Which is why I even got a VR rig to begin with was for THIS GAME) I'm so disgusted.. I went out of purchased No Man's Sky and Star Citizen to ease the pain.

NOTE: I issued a refund request... I doubt it will be refunded at this point given the time since the pre-order. I'll consider getting it again "IF" the state of the game improves.
