TL;DR: If what was preventing you from playing Persona 5 was not having a PlayStation, then go buy it now. You won't regret it.

I have some gripes about Royal compared to vanilla Persona 5, but they're minor and obviously outweighed by all the good stuff Royal has to offer. Let's just say I'm happy I played vanilla P5 first, but I can very much understand people not wanting to play through what is very nearly the same game twice. If you're really into Persona, you probably should play the vanilla version first, as you should play vanilla P4 before Golden, but if you were that much into Persona, you wouldn't be here reading my review. If anything that's an argument for Atlus just publishing their games on PC at the same time as they do on console, rather than an argument agains Persona 4 and 5 on PC specifically, but since it took Atlus this long to realise that the PC exists, that ship has sailed.

As far as the PC port specific stuff, I'm a little disappointed that the game runs in dx11, especially since I'm getting an Intel GPU, but given that the game seem to run like a dream, which wasn't a surprise given the minimum specs listed, I really don't think that's an issue. It's gonna look great anyway.
