It's an alright spinoff-prequel-sequel to DashBored, but as a game it's not nearly as good. You need to grind a weird amount, the puzzles are extremely easy and the single one that isn't (The Chateau) has one-shot enemies that are a little hard to kite around. Overall though, it's barely over an hour long and you should play it! Just grind a bit and make sure to abuse Poison Pocket as early as you can ($100 from shops, use it and then block until it ends, repeat)

this game is really good!! i found out about Karbonic because of psychopomp but this was without a doubt up my alley-- it's got some pretty decent combat and the story is good. it's very reminiscent of mother 3 and similar rpgs, which is absolutely not a surprise lol

DEI game. Chapter 9 is quite literally the most woke ♥♥♥♥ i've ever seen in the video game

Swery is perhaps one of the nicest, most understanding people I've ever seen create art about the topics he does. The writing in this game, and understanding why he wrote it how he did, has led me to understand that some things I had previously considered mis-steps in his prior work were actually intentional and I've actually come to appreciate his view on things quite a lot. It's really hard to describe what makes this game so good without outright spoiling a large amount of the plot, but I don't think people sell it quite hard enough. It's more than a queer love story.
