A friend bought me this after I expressed some interest in it.

This game, is just. Wow

I searched high and low for a game that gave me the same sense of awe that Subnautica gave me when I first dove headfirst into that world. I think I finally found a game that is comparable, not in its content, besides being a survival craft game, and mining for ore deposits, it really doesn't share anything with good ol water game. BUT, it does impose that same sense of dread and awe that you get from it.

You are a prisoner sent to this desolate world, completely lifeless, dirty and barren. Your job is to completely terraform the entire planet (Either by yourself or with friends, highly recommend playing with friends, but its still good solo)

Between the Meteor showers, the vast landscape, crashed ships with goodies inside, and that oddly cookie clicker esc brain scratching you get watching the numbers go up on your terraforming progress screen. It's really just a turn your brain off and delve into this completely alien world.

I haven't finished the game at the time of this review, but ive put a good 20 hours in. Subnautica is my favorite game ever made, that is why I continue to mention that here, I needed something new and fresh that gave me that sense of awe and wonder that Subnautica gave me when I first played it, this is that, but in its own unique way.

I love this game to bits and its up there with the best survival craft games out there.

9/10
