As adventure games go Resident Evil Zero is very good. Remastered and played at 4K super sampled I found the visuals very appealing. The atmosphere is awesome and the story is good except after the introduction the story takes some time to get moving. The initial set piece is claustrophobic though claustrophobic is most likely what the designers were going for.

Classic "tank" controls are back though there is an option to deviate. The classic control scheme is akin to a straight jacket of sorts. I used, initially persevered better describes my experience though given the environments and the static cameras, I thought classic controls just worked better.

Of the three difficulties easy is easily described as story mode. A challenge or two might await but nothing substantial. Given the control scheme playing on hard, maybe normal, would just lead to frustration unless of course you are familiar with the game and know what to do in most every pressing situation.

There are a ton of real-time cut scenes, an extras section for reviewing all of the real time scenes, 60 FPS game-play, 3 different anti-alias modes and a wide screen implementation.

Except for the rough start and getting used to the classic controls, my play-through of Resident Evil Zero was very enjoyable. There are plenty of puzzles and action, an awesome atmosphere and the story which is the first in the time line of the Resident Evil digital game universe.
