After logging nearly 12,000 hours across Steam and Xbox, I think it’s safe to say Dead by Daylight and I are in a committed relationship. Sure, it’s a toxic, love-hate relationship, but what would this game be without a little spice?

Dead by Daylight is like a chaotic family reunion where one relative (the Killer) takes the whole "life of the party" thing way too seriously. Whether you're a Survivor dodging hatchets, chainsaws, or whatever cosmic nonsense the devs cooked up this month, or a Killer trying to corral Survivors who loop you around a single pallet for 5 minutes, the chaos is endlessly addictive.

I’ve spent countless hours perfecting my flashlight saves, missing skill checks, and realizing too late that bringing a flashlight instead of a med-kit was a terrible decision. The moments of pure panic when you hear THAT terror radius or see Ghostface peeking from behind a rock never get old. Well, old-ish.

The updates and new killers keep things fresh, even if they sometimes feel like Behavior spun a random wheel labeled "fun or pain." And the community? Equal parts hilariously clever and unreasonably sweaty.

If you’re into heart-pounding, rage-inducing, friendship-testing multiplayer chaos, this game will ruin you in the best way possible. Just don’t expect it to love you back.
