I won't lie, I wasn't a fan of this at first. I had a silent respect for tactical RPGs of this genre, but no desire to touch upon them myself. With that in mind, I can quite frankly tell you with all honesty that this game is a masterpiece. The music, the characters, the combat; even if some of these aspects can have rough edges, the amount of attention to detail and raw emotion that the game emits is truly magical. Rivellon feels alive, and the story takes so many curious twists and turns that can make you both laugh and cry - I daresay that not many other games come close to such a comprehensive and engaging narrative.

What was my core problem? Well, quite frankly: the game does a very poor job of telling you a thing. You'll get frustrated about being lost for hours....and then you'll figure it out. Maybe look it up. You'll realise that problem has been right under your nose the whole time, and you'll have that genuine feeling of accomplishment. (except for the poorly labelled stuff that you can do in the wrong sequence and potentially get a worse outcome. Looking at you Sadha and the Swornbreaker. ) That feeling of realisation is what made me push on, as well as the character I formed a bond with since I didn't pick an Origin character. You just can't put it down after you pick it up - there's always something that compels you and rewards you.

Play it. Seriously. I mean it. In just over 2 weeks I pumped in 90 hours due to being thoroughly addicted. It's a magical game that you won't soon forget.
