I love the games, they're very fun and worth playing. if you like action games like the older DMC or Bayonetta, you will enjoy them and the fan service and great music is a bonuses too.
Now the older games in the series are difficult to find since they are on various older consoles (psp, ps2, ps3, and xbox360 exclusives), but worth playing as well. just be warned that the older ones are kinda clunky compared to Z2 chaos and Origin.
Also skip the School girl zombie hunter spin off that is on steam. despite the positive review of it that i made and my hours played, it sucks and a waste of money, if you still want to try it, get it for dirt cheap either on sale or other means, its not worth the full price even if its the only game afaik that has online play.
I suggest starting with onechanbara origin since its a remake of the 1st and 2nd games if you care about story.
