Plazma Being was not a game I liked playing. The controls are so terrible that it drove me mad. I made a significant effort to learn this game, its physics, and I had thought that with practice, I would become more adept at using the controls, but that didn't happen at all. The only challenge in this game is controlling the character because the solutions to the numerous riddles are usually really obvious.
It is quite hard to complete a series of chores quickly since the character responds to input very slowly.

You cannot see the mouse pointer when in "building mode". This means that, due to the poor controls, you will almost certainly repeat tasks such as quickly grabbing an obstacle to change the direction of the read beam or quickly jumping over obstacles. You will also continuously struggle to locate the mouse pointer, which only appears briefly after switching modes.
Moreover, the game has a lot of bugs; I frequently got stuck beneath and even inside something.

Although I enjoy this game, it is a shame that Ubisoft will be discontinuing it in March 2024 for no reason. There is a singleplayer aspect within the game itself that takes around 12 hours to finish if you focus on mainly story missions only. Even other multiplayer-based games like Test Drive Unlimited 2 can still be played, even years after the servers shutdown and the game was taken off the list, players still modified it to support multiplayer. There is no excuse for Ubisoft to not do the same, but they're greedy, lazy and known to be the worst company in Europe. Shame on you!

One of the worst flaws in this game, in my opinion, is that there is supposed to be a "offline" mode in The Crew, but it doesn't get implemented properly to work. There are also performance issues that you'll notice pretty often even on high-end pcs on the highest settings for no appearing reason and it's raining 60% of the time while playing the game. At this point the country should be flooded by water.

The game receives an 7.5 out of 10, but because Ubisoft plans to discontinue it in 2024, it is hardly even worth mentioning. Shame on you Ubisoft.

An infinite random runner game. When you spawn exactly in front of an obstacle, and you will instantly die without any time to react. The player model's ragdoll will jiggle around when you die, falling through the level around 3/4 of the time. While playing, you will occasionally fall through the level as well or walk against a walk instead of progressing. While playing, pressing ESC instantly ends the game and returns you to the desktop. The sound effects, or rather the sound effect, are the worst-looking blood squirt sprite at the approximate position of the collision and a general crunch sound that occurs when you hit something.

It's beyond broken, a scam to even sell this broken mess and another reason why Steam needs quality control.

Let me quickly answer your question if you're having trouble deciding between the Deluxe Edition and the base game: Unless you want your crew to include the three most well-known fighters, there's no reason to get the Deluxe Edition if you literally don't care.

This DLC is completely optional so there's not need to buy the Deluxe Edition at all. That is to say, there isn't a clear advantage to playing/using it. If you want strong fighters, don't get this; there are much better fighters available. Indeed, it makes Daigo, Saejima, and Majima playable characters and clanmates in the coliseum, but their moveset is heavily limited. They are passable beginning clan members, but not noticeably superior to other individuals you will meet along the way. Some people might think this is useless and I've used these characters till the end of the arena since I already got it with my pre-order, but ultimately there is no need to.

Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name acts as a spin-off sequel to the Yakuza series (After Yakuza 6). I would NOT recommend going into this game blind / without prior knowledge. Your starting point should always be Yakuza 0

In-Depth
Story, Gameplay & Exploration

Once again, we slip into the suit of Kazuma Kiryu, the former Dragon of Dojima. In an attempt to protect himself and his past, he ♥♥♥♥♥ his own death and went into hiding under the alias Joryu. In true Superagent style, he hides his true face behind a pair of glasses and earns his yen in Sotenbori as a henchman for the local Daidoji gang. Naturally, though, Kiryu—er, Joryu—can't escape his skin either and soon finds himself entangled in another conflict once again. Ultimately, the incidents create unrest across the yakuza as a whole.

Right now, I don't want to reveal too much. In the spin-off, a young all-around player named Akame is introduced as the new sidekick. With the aid of the local homeless, she has amassed an information network. She is not just a client but also a vital point of contact for Joryu, providing him with direct access to the underground. Like A Dragon Gaiden relies on bigger, freely accessible sections rather than a true open world. Since Sotenbori is where we spend a significant portion of the game at first, there are plenty of eateries, shops, and places to relax and build strength in addition to an entertainment district and leisure areas.

https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3116299708

The streets are crowded with people and have vivid colors that give off a typical Japanese flare. But here, too, the issues are apparent and, more importantly, visible. We frequently encounter homeless people on the streets, as well as wandering gangs who we would gladly punch. Then there's the castle itself, a massive cargo ship used by the underworld as a home for chaos, the expression of evil forces, and bizarre dreams. The Colosseum, a significant new game element, adds a nostalgic touch to this otherwise amusement park-like location. We can establish ourselves as prize fighters here, move up the ranks, and get large paychecks. We have the option of fighting as a team or as individuals. This allows us to enlist additional teammates and use them in our squad through side missions.

Akame's talents advance as we acquire network experience, allowing us to hold tournaments with progressively larger awards. The Hell Team Rumble competitions offer chaotic combat entertainment. We can choose the fighters starting positions and the order in which they will compete using the team screen. Though, to be honest, this strategy quickly evaporates in the chaos, group activities and intense fights make for an enjoyable game.

Like A Dragon Gaiden Is a well-bred action game with a strong emphasis on the intuitive battle system. With just a button push, we can switch between our two available styles whenever we want. We can use a variety of technical aids as agents, such as the spider, an electromagnetic lasso that we can use to bind or throw opponents. In true James Bond fashion, we can even call in drones to assault our targets and set off a device akin to a cigarette that explodes. We can also turn on a tiny jet engine beneath Joryu's shoes and use it to surf around rather than running. As an agent, we often hit targets more quickly and precisely, but our single hits deal less damage.

This mode's opposite is the red-colored Yakuza mode. We deal greatly more damage in close quarters and during charge-up assaults when we're in this state. You learn new moves as you advance in skill and with various Heat Actions; however, you must hold down a specific button to use the Agent devices. It can be irksome when, as it frequently happened in my case, I created a Heat Action in place of using an Agent device. Control and overview are frequently lost because the camera is unable to keep up with the fast-paced action. The intense fight scenes elevate the Yakuza series despite these flaws. The addition of weapons and items adds to the appeal of punches and kicks, which feel incredibly forceful. We can build up heat energy through effective attacks and counters, which we can then release in a sort of fury mode. Joryu is less vulnerable to hits and does damage very swiftly during this phase.

https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3112385890

The game allows for some free time in between all the fighting and gory killing. And as anyone who has watched the Yakuza series will attest, hilarity and seriousness go hand in hand. This is also the case in this spin-off, where we practice golf, play darts or pool, and complete laps in pocket circuit racing. Alternatively, we have the option to play renowned classics like Fighting Vipers 2, Virtua Fighter 2.1, and Sega Racing Classic on nearby Sega Mega Drive systems and at arcades. We also comb vending machines for adorable plush toys, and these can then be given as presents to the local nightclub's hostesses. The interactions between the scantily clad ladies are presented by the developers with subtly obtrusive live-action footage. However, despite their humorous sound, the flirting attempts are actually pretty unsettling. The unflattering camgirl attractiveness of the scene is accentuated by the easily identifiable ring light reflection in the woman's eyes, which regrettably creates a weird lasting memory.

Following the original series, the spin-off also doesn't take itself or its characters too seriously. In my opinion, the peculiar and distinctively Japanese humor could have been somewhat more prominent and exerted a more significant influence on the adversary design. The criminal adventure occasionally becomes bogged down in monotonous ranked bouts and the required elevation within the Akame network, despite the thrilling plot and intriguing characters. To put it simply, this means that we must finish the side missions and engage in combat in the Colosseum whether we want to or not. There are a few notable exceptions, but there are nine (!) substories alone that only feature gang battles, hence why I would have preferred more variation in the missions itself. At the end of the day, all of the missions are ultimately about brawls, sometimes bigger and sometimes smaller.

Conclusion

Like A Dragon Gaiden took only six months to develop and was initially intended to be a DLC for the upcoming Infinite Wealth which even suprises me more. It possesses all of the series hallmark qualities, including an engrossing plot, peculiar comedy, a ton of side activities (even though they're somewhat repetitive), and a ton of minor surprises to discover. The only catch is that you must be familiar with the series in order to really enjoy this game. For those who are unfamiliar with the series, Like A Dragon, Judgement, or Yakuza 0 would be a better choice. Nevertheless, I can heartily recommend this espionage spin-off to enthusiasts. Particularly for fans of the Yakuza: I swear, the conclusion will make you cry.

Final Verdict: 9/10 A shorter yet amazingly well-done Yakuza experience 💖

A parallel universe with several, singularly liminal areas

Pros
Cons
✔️ The story is pretty nice, and the graphics are decent.
❌ Short: You may complete it in no more than 45 minutes.
✔️ It provides puzzles, perhaps not many or difficult ones, but it's a pleasant diversion from the overall pace.
❌ The actual game is somewhat disjointed because there are small levels connected in a way that is illogical at best.
✔️ jumpscares that are really surprising; This is good horror, not the junk that usually goes along with the idea that loudness equals scariness.
❌ The levels lack flavor and are mainly empty.

Story, Gameplay & Exploration

We wake up, next to an excessive amount of coffee and a profession that involves us looking into unresolved cases, since for peculiar and mysterious causes, some people have vanished. For example, a person was drowning and when the lifeguard was called, there was no one left to find. It is now our mission to solve every mysterious case in each of these bizarre liminal spaces. However, something is observing us, and regrettably, there are difficulties along the way.

https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3111649865

As always, the atmosphere of these games is what makes them so much fun—it's special to each level. Since the drowning scenario was addressed in the paragraph above, our initial search takes place in a swimming area. No level lasts longer than fifteen minutes, and the atmosphere is excellent despite the fact that you are essentially playing a walking simulator. The levels are distinguished by a large number of maze-like hallways, many of which go to nowhere. In certain situations, we must locate a car key in order to utilize it to exit the parking garage, while in other situations, we must plunge down a pool since the path continues at the bottom. The pathways can appear somewhat "drawn out" at times because of the vast and barren surroundings, yet none of the tasks provided are really difficult.

I won't get into the riddles here since, while there aren't many, you should look into what is specifically waiting for you yourself. The fact that there aren't any monsters chasing you until the final level and the mood is oppressive overall is the finest thing about the experience. Even though the atmosphere could always be better, the game does a great job of generating an oppressive mood when something compels us to flee—and again, it was never the "loud=scary" scenario. Not only are there puzzles and loads of running around to do, but there are also little keyboards hidden around the levels that lead to an achievement. While none of these are particularly important story-wise, it's fun to occasionally locate some hidden objects to collect.

https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3112151292

Some levels also have pretty amazing music, particularly the one with the swimming pool. There were moments when I would just stand and look out at the pool while enjoying the amazing music. This soundtrack was essential into getting me immersed in this game and boy did it achieve its job! I also kept looking behind me to see if someone or something was following me, and it was overall the perfect moodsetter. So that you understand what I mean, just listen for yourself (Starting @0:22):

https://youtu.be/B0umd5xfjFE?si=wPEoKPjPl1tKCJwc&t=22

Conclusion

A truly remarkable experience with excellent liminal spaces and a wonderful vibe which are sometimes simply too empty and flawed. Effective use of color grading and shadows to produce a suffocating, ominous atmosphere that has you wondering what could be hiding behind every dark corner. The ambient minimalism music, which changes in tone properly as you advance through the several stages, fits as well. It's more of a short midnight snack experience than a typical game, but the story is cool, and I like it. The conclusion is interesting, unexpected and unquestionably worth the cost! With the exception of a few brief segments in which players must solve puzzles and find hidden keyboards, the game is essentially a walking simulation. This is a smooth experience if you like atmospheric horror games, especially those interested in Backrooms content.

Final Verdict: 7.5/10 A short yet amazing atmospheric experience 💖

Naturally, Warden: Melody of the Undergrowth draws inspiration from games that have defined their own genres. Something with a larger crew and a larger budget is difficult to replicate. Though it still has a ways to go before Warden: Melody of the Undergrowth reaches the heights of those "classics" before it, Cardboard Keep deserves some respect for a job well done.

The narrative opens with Tavian, a young explorer, and his father, the Emperor, traveling through a forest when suddenly a group of attackers approach and encircle them. As Tavian tries to flee over a bridge, it collapses beneath him, throwing him downstream to a dimly lighted location near a tiny camp. Tavian chooses to take a nap by the campfire while a big sleeping beast is obstructing his way out of the area. After falling asleep, he awakens to find himself in an unfamiliar, dreamlike world where Nyona, the Spirit God of the Forest, is imprisoned. Tavian becomes a Warden after Nyona begs him for assistance, leading him on a quest to locate the other Wardens and free her from her crystal-bound prison.

There is an interesting cook, tribesmen, and fictitious knights among the colorful array of characters. The Wardens themselves are excellent as well; during the game, they engage with each other frequently and each one of them has a distinct personality that comes through. Every Warden has a distinct dialogue as well, so the discussions you have power over depend on the character you're managing.

https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3102760079

Tevian also encounters the ghosts of the last two Wardens during the journey: Medeira, a female spirit with a green thumb, and Bitt, a real spitfire male spirit. Bitt can levitate using fire skills, while Medeira may create blooming platforms to access regions inaccessible by simple jumping. These particular talents allow Bitt and Medeira to visit new locations with each given ability. All three characters are interchangeable at any moment by the player. Even when switching between personalities wasn't required, I truly liked having that option.

You have the freedom to complete each level in whatever order you choose because the game takes place in an open environment. But before you know it, a problem requiring a certain character's talent will impose restrictions on you, forcing you to pursue what may be deemed the "correct" path. Nevertheless, the flexibility it offered set me on a bit of a journey when I found myself investigating the incorrect region entirely and couldn't figure out why I couldn't go forward. Although this may sound annoying, Warden: Melody of the Undergrowth has such a fantastic universe that my exploration of it was prompted by these times of uncertainty.

Fortunately, there are many weapons in the game; you can pick up and utilize a weapon dropped by every enemy. There are several types of weapons available, including tiny, huge, rapid, and slow ones, which you can carry three of at a time per character. Though they shatter after repeated usage (durability), try not to become overly attached to any of them. In Warden: Melody of the Undergrowth, there is no place for magic, but there are plenty of enemies who want to get beaten up, and they are all well quite nice. It's interesting to watch the weapons being used by your character.

The fact that Warden: Melody of the Undergrowth also offers you a good amount of mythology to absorb that aids in painting the game's backdrop is one feature I really enjoyed. In-depth knowledge of dungeons, spirits, the forest, and other locales may be acquired by players. Two of my favorite aspects of games are lore and narrative development since I can tell the creators truly cared about creating a rich history that would pique players' interests.

Undoubtedly, the surroundings fantastic hand-painted imagery is helpful. I believe the Cardboard Keep creators would consider it as a complement if I said that the visuals are best described as something like The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It demonstrates how Warden: Melody of the Undergrowth truly excels with its visual design and is incredibly evocative.

Regretfully, Warden: Melody of the Undergrowth's fighting seems a tad awkward. Hit boxes occasionally seemed utterly strange; my strikes would appear to connect but would miss the enemy, and vice versa. It might also seem unpleasant to move about since it's too simple to find yourself surrounded by hostile strikes and unable to escape. The most problematic aspect, though, was that when attackers struck barriers, they appeared to pass through the surroundings. It was strange to see adversaries moving through the walls as if they weren't there. In a couple other situations, I was forced to restart the game / load since the monsters I was supposed to kill weren't inside the chamber I was imprisoned in, but rather outside of it, making it impossible for me to proceed.

My Specs

CPU: i9 9900k GPU: RTX 2080 Ti RAM: DDR4 32 GB RAM OS: Win10 Resolution: 1440p @144hz (worked flawlessly on 144fps, but I had to re-activate V-Sync everytime I started the game which sucks)

Conclusion

All things considered, I liked Warden: Melody of the Undergrowth due of its quite neat plot, lovely settings, and calming soundtrack. I would have liked it even more if the combat would be more refined. The game is the perfect game to play if you want to experience the nostalgia of the N64 Golden Age of gaming with a little bit of jank and wonkyness. Nevertheless, the game will drag on because of flawed mechanics, a shaky fighting system, and a clear mismatch between the setting and the narrative. Don't expect too much and you'll have a great time!

Final Verdict: 7.5 / 10 - Suprisingly neat, but wonky and buggy around the edges.

The course layout and car types have changed, but otherwise this is the same crap Barro game as before. The only reasons you should play this game are either cards (NOT AVAILABLE HERE) and achievements for an easy 100% completion rate; the cars still have terrible handling and collisions are broken. You can unlock all achievements via start-up menu by simply clicking on it.

It's not even that difficult to finish; all you have to do is hit the shift key to activate the "nitro boost" and the arrow keys or WASD to drive the vehicle. Beware of this asset flip garbage.
