Dive into hell for managed democracy!

Realistically, it's a third person perspective shooter, with first person aim down sights (mouse3 button).
Where you run, gun, die, respawn, and repeat.
A bunch of small objectives to dot the map, with major objectives being the key.
The little mini game to call special abilities is nice, instead of cluttering up the keybind list.
Ragdoll physics caused my character to leave the map with my samples, 10/10 would die again.

I saw a video of someone manually reloading, and leaning a corner to turn an enemy into gibs.

So obviously my first what was, I gotta try it.

Picked up the demo, made it probably farther than I should have on a demo and fell in love.
exploding potential waifus has never been this much fun or filled with soul.

So I bought the actual game, 15$ at time of purchase, and the game immediately crashed. Welp surely that's a one off.
(spoilers, it isn't)
Sometimes the game crashes because you stood still too long, some times it crashes because it doesn't like how you entered the level transition, and sometimes it crashes because you sniped too many enemies in one go.
Which, don't get me wrong, constant crashing sucks. This game on the other hand? Love it.

Secrets and throwbacks to older FPS games, killer albeit repetitive soundtrack, and did I mention the soul this game has?
You can tell this is the creator's baby. A lot of work was put into it, and it shows. The game shines, and delivers many rewarding moments.

Only some bosses are cheeseable though, which really leads to the oppressive atmosphere. Every time I get too DOOM heavy and start running, gunning, and not thinking, I usually get put in my place. Which is great, because stopping to think about the area and how to tackle some enemies (gold fire ******) really lets me admire the game more.

If you expect pure DOOM play, you're out of luck. There is a "Sprint" gauge, and you do have to reload. For one off weapons like the pistol or shotgun, every shell/case must be loaded individually, for magazine weapons, patients is key. Spamming reload will cause you to reload faster, but you loose ammo.
There is also a weapon for every enemy, which makes it even better. (satchel charges beat all the things)

10/10 would crash again, two thumbs up!

Stop me if you've heard this before. It's a Rouge like/ Souls like 2d platformer with fast paced combat and unique weapon styles.

Oh, you have? Well too bad! Skul is an excellent "anti-hero" game; which captured me just like Dead Cells, and caused me to grind way too hard way too fast.
Much like dead cells and every other souls like, keyboard and mouse are good... but controller happens to be a little bit better in my opinion.
Though unlike most souls like games, healing items are quite as prevalent, so you might want to focus your build in advance. If you just jump straight in and pick up every skull you find, you might have a bad time.

Switch system is easy, find a skull, wear it. Once Skul has a new Skull, get bone shards, and upgrade at the nice tsunder spider. Get stronger skulls, make stronger plays. Hint, reaper is slow, but has i-frames.

Find good power up combos and utterly break the game with your damage output, then get stunned by a boss and loose it all. It's the Skul way.

Also, the voice over is in Korean, if anyone was wondering.

A solid game, if not a bit on the difficult side...

Made by a small indie studio, from a project that started as passion for Resident Evil. So expect the typically indie problems. Poor voices/audio low quality models, public use sounds and ridged acting. Though when you get past all that, at the core it's a great game.
Inventory management has an extra challenge that will either come as an annoyance or challenge to rise up to, what with not pausing the game, and being slow to navigate.

One big name voice actor is a huge plus, even if he doesn't carry the game.

Story wise it's pretty good, though it feels like the devs realized that they needed to tie up loose ends towards the end.

The website to learn lore idea is great in concept, though in practice I found it super annoying to have to tab out to read what should have been in-game files. Really kills the pace, rather it did, until I just stopped reading.

If you like challenging gameplay, enjoy survival horror, and have some time to kill, show the studio some love and grab it

Tl;Dr solid 7/10 would recommend

I would highly recommend this over PUBG or Fortnite.

In a world of Royale trends, this one stands out as one of the only PVE ones.
Not only are you fighting other players, but you also have to deal with the radiation, mutants, anomalies, and weather.

That said it does suffer from typical STALKER esq bugs. Occasionally lagging, some things don't like to render, and some weapon physics get wonky. That said, same bugs as any other Royale game on the market right now.

Finding a match can take time, and the learning curve is pretty steep, but all in all a fun game.

Now, GET OUT OF HERE STALKER!
