A wonderful grind.

PVE:
3 man Trios
Challenging with a well-built rouge-like central loot element. The biggest challenge for me arises from poor / low-skill teammates—[which I enjoy as a free chance to lead the squad]. Feels like a big fleshed-out but far more sane and less frantic Risk Of Rain 2 in a way that is hard to describe but definitely meant as a compliment to the mode.

PVP:
6V6 +/- depending on the mode
Tight maps with a surprising amount of verticality that couples well with kick-able/climb-able objects & certain class mechanics. Fast-paced slide-y FPS rewards speed and big flanks in a wonderful arcade feeling that plays in moments like an homage to Unreal Tournament—[a fleeting feeling broken by the classic 2 weapon loadout].
