This game is AIDs and I've given it to loved ones.

What a journey. I started playing when OG Freddy released and played him the best I could. This game, if nothing else, is the Smash Bros of horror. "Everyone is here!" *(Except Jason, Predator, etc, etc) I played this game on and off in the early days but started committing more hours and watching all sorts of content to keep myself caught up on perks, add-ons, and builds. I pride myself on being the one in my friend group that can call out a perk/addon as soon as it's used in our matches. So it's safe to say I enjoyed this game, at least some at certain points of it's lengthy life-span so far.

But there have been dark times. And I've been there for most of them. The most recent one is upon us. The Aura Read Meta. At the time of writing this there are 26 Killer perks and 58 add-ons, that reveal the survivors aura
17 Survivor perks reveal the Killer's aura
Object of Obsession and Mettle of Man give survivor aura to the killer
5 perks that prevent survivor aura from being seen, Off the Record requiring you to have been hooked and Sole Survivor needing at least one teammate to be dead

All this, Distortion is meant to counter and it now only has a maximum of 2 stacks that block aura read for 12 seconds. Requiring to be in chase for 30 seconds to regain a charge, 60 seconds total to have 2 charges

On top of all that, killers and survivors alike really squeeze the fun out of the game with super optimized builds and "strategies". I say this as I play both sides, but at the current time of writing killer seems the favored role by the developers. With all that said, I really can't recommend this game anymore. Even with the prospect of 2v8 coming back, it all just feels like a struggle that isn't worth fighting for anymore.

I'll probably update this if things change but for now, it's a no from me dawg.
