This game used to be great and I have had so much fun with it, but year after year update after update it has only catered to sweats and people who play this professionally, they do not care about the player having fun at all, this is supposed to be a grand strategy game not a painfest that is only made for masochists who enjoy hurting themselves. I would recommend avoiding this game at all costs, it will only hurt you mentally, physically, and financially. I have over 2,500 hours and can tell you it was a total waste of time and pointless in the end. Never have I been more disappointed in a game ruined by pointless update after pointless update. This wouldn't have happened if they didn't take the advice of exclusively professionals that feel like they want a game so unbalanced and only are enjoyable to people with mental health disorders. Do not play after BBA was introduced if you want a fun playing experience but frankly I would say avoid this game at all costs, so disappointed in PDX for these recent updates that make the game totally unenjoyable

doing the saim thing with italien over and over again and still hearing from people online that the game is EASY and that i have to just tray harder ,is making me feel dumb and is bad for my mental health.

why cant i defeat ethiopia in time without having to look at 5 tutorials on how to beat ethiopia and having to mobilise the intaier italien air and ground force and still failing.(In the tutorial)

Honestly, the review isn't entirely wrong, but I find the additional stuff after BbA to be more optional than totally necessary. Giving medals to divisions, and other stuff like that, is only providing the smallest possible boost. With good template design for your divisions and the right path through focuses and techs, you still can do quite well.

But it *is* true that the updates have added more and more convolution to the game... and it started with Man the Guns, IMO, because that's where all of a sudden you had to design every component on equipment (initially ships, but now almost everything).
