Overall a good game. Plays well.If you want a YuGiOh game with just the cards, no real big story or cinematic stuff to get between duels, you're good.

Game lacks controller support, and really, it should have controller support right out of the box. Some of us strongly prefer using a controller. Like pressing A to confirm our card pick, and B to decline. Konami needs to add controller support to this game.

Problem is, the game allows a total of 8 summoning methods, some of which take a lot of getting used to.

Pendulums ruined the game, this is unanimous from what I've heard. A card that can be picked up easily to ban pendulum summons permanently and destroys all monsters summoned via pendulum summons INCLUDING the pendulum monsters would be a good step forward.

Link, Syncro, XYZ summons, a fine novelty, but shouldn't be more powerful than the normal/effect monsters without a ridiculously higher cost.

Fire needs more support. I main Tyrant Dragon, and it feels sorely neglected compared to the decks like Blue Eyes White Dragon, and Dark Magician.

Crafting point acquisition is unfavorable. Needs to focus on a single currency and let us get card packs based on IRL card packs from lists that existed, like "Legend of the Blue Eyes", and such.

Players should have the ability to select different rulesets like if we want to deal with pendulums, XYZ, Syncro, and Link summons. All four of which are just annoying or just unbalanced.

Would I recommend it? Yes, the gems are simple enough to farm, and it's the primary currency for getting a bunch of cards. A single-currency system is appreciated, the crafting points not so much. It's also a FREE game, and uses the basic field type with 5 monster zones, 5 spell/trap zones, extra deck, fusion deck, deck, graveyard, and Banish sections.

I would recommend more "mates", based on popular or well known monsters, like Dark Magician Girl, Tyrant Dragon, and more. Also would be cool if an update included some 3D monsters depicted with animations. Though I guess it'd be easier to depict them as "mates".

Loads of customization to it too. Custom duel fields that work like play mats, card zones, etc. The game has a LOT of potential. Monetization isn't grossly predatory or intrusive like Duel Links.

I'm not too fond of the version of the Dark Magician the game uses with the blue skin and blonde hair... Looks more like a fresh corpse to me. I switched to the Blue Eyes White dragon mate when it came out. I'd rather have a dragon on my board than a Dark Magician variant that makes me think he's a preserved corpse reanimated.

I'd also be fine with more mates that are based on attractive females, not waving my ♥♥♥♥ around, but Konami is a Japanese company, and the old saying "sex sells" is still relevant even today, though for gamers, it could be said "Waifus sell".

I'll say this, if Konami added 3D models of female duelists to serve as "mates", I would not be surprised, and I can honestly say there would be a LOT of guys I know in FB groups who would not hesitate to buy "waifu" "mates" to sit on their board while playing.
