No matter what anyone says about CD Projekt Red, on one point the studio certainly deserves respect: it is constantly growing, taking risks and developing - both technologically and creatively. With each new "big" release, the Polish team reaches a fundamentally new level of quality on almost all fronts. Remember how The Witcher changed: the series began with a cheap and sideways CRPG, the sequel crept closer to AA, and the finale of the trilogy generally became a pop cultural phenomenon. Only three games, but each has taken a cosmic step forward compared to the previous one.

As for Cyberpunk 2077, I have two pieces of news. The bad news is that a similar jump in quality did not happen against the background of the third Witcher. Good - the game still turned out to be very, very worthy.

Cyberpunk 2077 leaves such a mass of impressions that it is not easy to organize and sort them into shelves. Even after one complete and thoughtful (as far as the terms of the embargo allowed) passage, it seems that before the review it would not hurt to run through the plot at least twice more - just for the sake of completeness. However, if you want a short opinion without spoilers at all, then ... I don’t know, I can only shrug. Personally, I got about what I expected: a good RPG from CD Projekt Red. Not "revolutionary", but simply good in every sense. No more, no less.
And in this case, this is not a reproach at all, but, on the contrary, the most sincere compliment of all that come to my mind. Yes, the game is hardly up to that mythical ideal that many have drawn in their dreams for seven years of waiting - although this, I think, is not a surprise to anyone. Yes, if you want, you can easily find a lot of little things that CD Projekt Red could theoretically make even cooler. But at the same time, I never had the feeling that the authors somewhere did not keep their promises or cut corners.

Contrary to all the disturbing rumors and fears, Cyberpunk 2077 did not become a victim of its own ambitions. It does not look raw or released in a hurry - if the team had a reason to postpone the release date several times, then you can’t even tell from the game itself that it was born in pain. Quite the opposite: Cyberpunk 2077 shows that the studio was really on fire with the idea and made exactly the game they wanted.

Output:
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of those rare long-term projects that fully justifies the years of waiting. It does not pretend to revolutionize the genre, but it does not need it at all: CD Projekt Red, in any case, turned out to be a damn exciting RPG that has something to love.

So, come on, shoo from the keyboard! I'm terribly sorry... What am I talking about? And yes, Stray!

About the game
The action of Stray takes place in the distant future. While walking with his moustached companions, a stray red cat falls into the sewer and finds himself in an underground cyberpunk city where there have been no people for a long time.

Humanity destroyed the planet's ecosystem and tried to hide in bunkers supplied with oxygen with the help of a new kind of plants that do not require the sun. But in vain. People died out, and only robots remained in their settlements, who built their own kind of society, where many consider the blue sky on old photographs to be fake.

However, to arrange a real revolution in this underground world and return the sun to its inhabitants, one very brave cat is enough. And he will definitely need courage here: after all, the sewer is teeming with mutant parasites, devouring both flesh and metal with great speed.

My opinion
I'm sure Stray will disappoint many. For someone, it will be too simple. Too short for someone. For some, it's too quest-based (in the first hub, you'll have to sweat a little with mini—missions). And you won't find a deep cyberpunk plot here - after all, the main character is not some smoky detective with implants, but a red—haired cat.

But the most important thing about Stray is how it is made with love. It's very hard not to get into it. I have no doubt that this quiet summer the game will become a hit, and the Annapurna Interactive publishing house will once again record a bright and original project in its portfolio.

Positive
1. Perhaps this is the most feline game in history. The fluffy main character is made with great love.
2. Amazing art design and music.
3. Well-tested gameplay: the puzzles are logical and do not cause stupor, the locations are well readable, none of the mechanics are annoying or boring by the end.
4. Excellent implementation of DualSense: the player feels the strumming of keys in the cat's teeth, the friction of wool and claws digging into carpets and curtains.
5. Murrrrrrrr.

Minuses
1. There is not enough photomode, but at least the interface does not interfere with taking screenshots.
2. Not all carpets can be torn and not all puddles can be drunk. Shhh, shhh.

Bottom line
A game that is not a pity to spend time on and which will 100 percent appeal to all cat lovers.
