I've played this game off and on for over 9 years, and here's a brief overview on my thoughts on the game. For starters, if you've seen this game from YouTube alone, it's likely you've seen a lot of extremely hard levels. While those exist and can be extremely rewarding if you beat them, you should consider more than just the hardest levels in the game if you want to buy it. In fact, if you can't beat the main levels, it might even be demotivating since you'd be so far away from the hardest levels. As of writing, I have played over 3000 user created levels, and can say that there's plenty of enjoyable experiences to be had outside of the hardest levels in the game. People have been able to make levels that look amazing, have incredibly unique gameplay (ie: minigames or even full on games within the game), or challenge you to do something that you might not expect you'd be able to do. It all starts with the main levels though, and aside from the demons (and electrodynamix maybe), I think building your skill on the main levels first will help you appreciate the levels the community has made more broadly. Learning to play for the first time is a grind, but when you push through and are able to beat community-made levels, the grind feels incredibly worthwhile.

I wanted to get all achievements in the game before creating a review (which is typical for me). It took me 9 years to get all of the steam achievements, and there's really only 1 achievement that prevented me from getting all of them for a few years; the achievement to get 100 likes on a level you created. The thing is, without a rated level (meaning people can get stats from beating your level), it's really hard to convince people to download, let alone like your level. Some people have come up with creative ways of doing this, but for me, I had gotten lucky enough to have zoink, arguably the best player in the game, generate enough interactions for me on social media that I could get the likes I needed on an old level I made. Personally, I think achievements that are in my hands to accomplish are way more rewarding than putting my achievement progress in the hands of other people. For most achievements, you'll probably find that they were pretty fun to get, but that one in particular might be annoying if you have a relatively small social media presence and can't build anything that you could get rated. I still stuck with the game regardless though, so even though the achievements might not be easy to 100%, there's so much to accomplish in this game that I could overlook it. I look forward to this game and community evolving in the future and am excited to see how far I can push my own progression in time. If you are thinking about getting this game, or have played a couple of levels in the past and gave up, I recommend trying the game out until you can at least beat the main levels (minus the ones mentioned before). I think that if you can get good enough this game's community levels will be rewarding enough to justify spending the money to get this game & play it.
