TLDR: This is definitely one of the better tycoon games Ive played in a while. I really enjoy how much their is to do when it comes to game dev. Wanna make games? Cool do it, sequels? remakes? MMO's? Xpacks? and f2p titles? Yup all here and really enjoyable. Hell, you can even make your own game engines, consoles, and your own MS Game pass!

Now, I really enjoy writing reviews sometimes so this may get a little long but ill start with Cons, then do pros, then what I wish was in the game.

Cons:
Really my only main issue with the game is the in game menu systems. They feel cluttered and messy but after a while you can get used to it.

Another issue (which is just a personall opinion that I feel may be shared by others) is how the way building rooms and maps work. I don't really like how when building rooms they need to have a door, some maps have multiple buildings and I would like for the whole building to be the room (IE the music/SE design room needs to be fairly sized because their work stations are massive!) but I have to add a door right in front of the buildings entrance because each room NEEDS a door. Again, this is just an opinion but I feel like this might be an easy fix if others also share the issue.

My last issue with the game is how you cant really expand past the map. Now, this is another opinion but personally I would love to have one save file across multiple maps just because I would love to do everything as efficiently as possible. Like, the warehouse map mixed with the default map would be awesome because all your production, storage, and servers can use the warehouse while the developers and offices can all be on their own map.

Pros:

The way unlocks work is year based so you cant just release A realistic mil-sim in the 70's and I really like this. It helps new players learn the game and get an Idea for what they can and cant do. As well as what they should and shouldn't do when it comes to money management as well as management in general.

The game play loop is simple, you choose a few topics, and genres for the game. Chose an engine and what system to use, Move a few sliders and choose the features in your game and boom! The programmers/Devs start to work.

Unlocking more content is easy via the research department and adding new departments is just as easy with their being an option to auto fill the room with props and workstations to keep your employees happy.

Now, unfortunately I can keep talking about what I like so just refer to the TLDR for more of what I enjoy, but now im going to move onto the suggestions.

Personally, I would love to see a way to hire other studios for contract work to make games. You CAN buy other studios but they make their own games and the only control you have over them is A) the studio self publishes the game B) you publish the game and C) you can scrap the game.

As stated prior, I would love to have the ability to expand to multiple maps.

And the last thing I can think of right now would be mod support. I feel like the steam workshop would be amazing! Custom events, employees, genres, consoles, maps ect. would be able to make this game one of the best tycoon games made in a long time

The game let me buy the season pass even though it was pulled. After purchase it only gave me revelations. Screw that... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scammers.

Good luck dodging. Your hit box is bigger than the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map. Thats even if you can get into the mission after a cut scene. Just go play Daemon X Machina and avoid this garbage.

Cant launch the game anymore. Just get fatal error and nothing works even after looking it up.

Good game, but ♥♥♥♥ whoever thought the vector was balanced

Dungeons aNd Fighters duel? More like Did Not Finish the duel. The game is so unbalance and broken its not even fun to win, sadly its also been abandoned by the developers.

Im absolutely loving the game so far, While I do wish the game had DD1 and DD2 gameplay mixed (some parts should have been dungeons like dd1 and maybe some world exploration/shop mechanics from dd2) the game is still an amazing roguelite for what it offers. The story and combat are amazing, and the classes and abilities feel nearly perfect.

My only warning to anyone who has played or hasnt even played DD1, this game is nearly completely different than the first game, so if you want to play both, you totally can and be satisfied by both.

If you want a TLDR: The devs abandoned this game, leaving it in a broken mess and moved on to yet another game that will never be finished.

Here's the entire story so far...

Sadly i can no longer recommend this game. What once had so much potential has now been abandoned by its greedy devs and left in a nearly unplayable state. The e.a. support was amazing and the "Transparency" between the company and community was also really good! However, after announcing the games full 1.0 release everything slowed to a crawl and eventually fell apart.

With no reason as to why and out of what seemed like no where, the devs never released 1.0 and gave a half baked essay several DAYS after missing the updates launch. After this, they went completely dark. No news, updates, Q&A's, nothing! However, after months of staying quiet the company was excited to show us yet another new game that they will be releasing... As of this review, the devs have only told us that 1.0 "will release sometime in 2023" but they wont shut the hell up about this new rogue like.

Its crazy how they did this with Generation Zero (another game that technically got its 1.0, but was abandoned shortly after never adding more content that was promised) and now they're doing this with second extinction. It just goes to show that these devs are just another EA clone and don't care about the community, they're here simply to make proof of concept games to make us smile for a bit and then move on when they feel like they want to scam a new community.

Second extinction had so much potential, the characters, the guns, the map, and the combat all felt amazing, but sadly the game just isn't what it should be and it will never be what it could be.

Stay away, the devs just showed (and told) us to go screw ourselves by delaying ark 2 and by re-releasing ark 1 as a new paid game and reselling the dlc to us. Typical greedy pigs that dont belong in this industry.
