Was a fun, choose your own adventure styled, interactive movie. Not really a genre I generally gravitate towards but I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. Perfect for spooky season couch gaming.

This is a game I started several times but ended up bouncing off of every time. However I finally sat down to play this one on the Steam Deck and really enjoyed it. The game really rewards creative problem solving. Almost every time I thought, "hmm I wonder if I could do x...", I almost always could. The game holds up really well despite being over 10 years old although some of the character models are a bit rough. Powers are cool and the different ways to take out targets was really fun and interesting. I highly recommend playing this if you havent yet.

OW1 hadn't been good since S2/S3 but OW2 manages to be even worse. Just another example of a game getting gutted and turned into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ live service game to milk the most amount of money from players possible while providing as little as possible. They even stripped out the PVE stuff that was promised.

Do yourself a favor, uninstall this game, go download TF2 and have a much better time.

I wanted to like this game so badly but theres too many gamebreaking bugs and cutscenes that don't work if you don't have your monitors refresh rate locked to 60 and vsync is on. I don't have the patience to keep exiting the game and swapping settings on my monitor every time theres a glitch and then swapping it back because I didn't buy a 144hz monitor to leave it locked to 60 and I hate using in game vsync.

The first bug I ran into was a cutscene with Vinnie where he was supposed to move out of the way but the animation refuses to play if you don't have in game vsync enabled and limit your monitors refresh rate.

Second one I ran into was when you follow Jenny underneath the boardwalk to get into the carnival and an invisible wall blocks your progress. Restarting the checkpoint does not solve the issue

♥♥♥♥ was too annoying and immersion breaking to keep dealing with. A shame because this is an otherwise good game I would've liked to finish

So I have no attachments to the original game since I never played it so any changes that were made between the original and the remake don't have any impact on me. I thought RE3 Remake was a great game. Definitely more focused on action and spectacle than the RE2 Remake but thats okay. The way the two games are woven together is pretty neat. Gunplay is still standard survival horror gunplay but it works. Graphics are great and tbh RE Engine is such a great engine that its kinda mind blowing. Every game I've played that uses it is so well optimized its not even funny. I don't have a particularly beefy rig and I was getting solid 144fps on ultra settings at 1440p with no stutters or anything.

A big complaint seems to be that the game is short at about 7-8 hours long but I'm in the quality>quantity camp and RE3 Remake delivers on a quality experience. Idk about a 40USD pricetag but I got both 2 and 3 on sale for 15 bucks total and more than got my moneys worth.

Highly recommend this game

I never played the old RE games so this was a first time experience for me. Definitely creepy, campy, stressful, and fun to play. The game runs flawlessly and looks great. Gunplay is slow, but mostly what you'd expect from a survival horror series. The puzzles are pretty intuitive, the environments are phenomenal, and the atmosphere is just perfect. The zombies are mostly standard fair but still manage to be creepy while the mutated G Virus zombies, lickers, and Mr. X are much more interesting and tough to deal with.

Personally I found the novelty of Mr. X to wear off pretty quick especially since he's tethered to the player and doesnt actually roam the station and while the first few encounters are exciting and scary, he becomes mostly tedious to deal with and kinda just slows down the game imo.

Other than that I found it really enjoyable as a first time RE2 player and would definitely recommend the game. Make sure you play through it twice though, once as Leon and once as Claire, to get the true ending and see the full game

Awesome crime drama story, Hong Kong setting, visually holds up well for an almost 10 year old game, combat is very fluid and feels good. Great protagonist and cast of characters. The driving is arcade-y but feels awesome. Dope licensed music and soundtrack. The story is engaging without overstaying its welcome.

Honestly I'm only upset I sat on this absolute gem for so long.

This game really nails existentialism and frequently left me with that pit in my stomach feeling. This game went way deeper than I expected it to. Lots of interesting, creative, and bold design choices that I think worked really well. The PC port is also fine from my experience playing it in 2023 although I'm aware that it had issues in the past. Combat is pretty well done. Lots of spectacle. Great characters and story. 9/10 game

Amazing, must play trilogy. Seriously, these games have absolutely deserved their reputation. Fascinating story, great characters, amazing amount of choice and the continuity between games is unrivaled. This is what made Bioware legendary. I think this is one of those games that when you play it, you'll wish you could forget it so you could play it fresh again.

Gameplay is pretty solid, the setting and aesthetic is phenomenal and the devs really nailed the whole commie propaganda stuff especially with lines like "comrade, follow your schedule closely. An extra minute at lunch is a minute stolen from the people". There's just a creepy, dystopian feel to everything. Clearly very inspired by bioshock but not quite as serious as a bioshock game with some very Serious Sam level dialogue which might put some people off but I think makes sense for the setting. You'd be cynical too if you lived in an orwellian dystopia. Lots of comparisons to Wolfenstein out there. The game runs really smooth with only the occasional stutters. Mick Gordon music is just the cherry on the top

Also horny waifu bots. Russian devs are based af
