Gave this game a try since I really liked The Third. Given the age of the game it is no strange that when you go back to part 2, it feels a little bit like a step backwards, not only the graphics but also certain mechanics are missing in your transition. Nevertheless it was a great game, and anno 2014 it still is a very entertaining game to play. It is recommended to play this part before you start with IV, as there are characters of this game that will return in SR IV.

Without mods the game works without problems on windows 8, but the frame rate is relatively low despite modern components. The use of GotR mod is recommended to make the game run better. The bad/compressed audio is very unfortunate, so don't put your volume up too high ;)
