I take these issues seriously, email me at ashroodev@gmail.com what OS, CPU, and graphics card you were running on this game on, and whether you can recreate it on other devices. When you launch the game and it gets stuck, copy what is in the console into your email.
Ensure that you gave permission for World of Squares to access your network (Windows' popup box may show up behind the game window or any other windows)

Tell me if you can recreate this issue on other devices you run the game on, or if it is special to your device. If you're able, run the game on a different network and see if it is your network configuration causing it.
