A huge step up from Resident Evil 3 for me and is right now my second favourite Resident Evil game. I still think Resident Evil 2 is better overall but this one a fun, action packed, creepy horror survival game.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS:

This one is unlike the other resident evil games i have played mainly because there is no zombies and it doesn't take place in a city or a mansion. Instead the scares come from a village community with a 1600's vibe and the community are all part of a cult and are all infected with a parasite that mutates them.

This game follows Leon S Kennedy 6 years after the events of Resident Evil 2 and he's almost a completely different character. In RE2 he was the rookie on his first day and didn't really say much. In RE4 hes Special Ops on a mission to save the presidents daughter from this community. He's much more skilled, badass, fearless and cracks jokes and quips.

Positives:

Its a step up from RE3 is basically every way. A more engaging and interesting story. More creepy and scary moments and atmosphere. Better characters.

Leon's character is developed more. Ada Wong returns. and is more badass.

A lot of different enemy types that require different ways to kill.

The replayability of the game with stuff to unlock in the extras after completing certain challenges including concept art, models, costumes, guns and more.

Negatives:

I don't really have many negatives about this game. just a couple nitpicks here and there but i would say the biggest issue i have is Ashley. Not her as a character. I think her character development was done well and she grew as a character from damsel in distress to well still a damsel in distress but would get her hands dirty if she needs to. No the thing that bugs me is how much she gets in the way when playing. You gotta protect her for a lot of the game and she just likes to get in the way of your shots and get kidnapped which is really annoying.

Overall whilst i still think Resident Evil 2 is the better game. Resident Evil 4 is amazing in so many ways. its action packed, fun, creepy and a great ride. I really like that the game went for a different asthetic with a village community infected by a parasite worshipped by a cult as opposed to a zombie outbreak in a city, However it feels like it fits right into the Resident Evil universe.

This is a fun little side game with tons of secrets, easter eggs and teasers and a few endings to find.

its free, doesn't take long and is a great little game to play whilst we wait for Bendy The Cage and the Bendy Movie.

I would not say this a bad game. nor is it very good.

positives:
I actually like the story. its not great but i do like it. Same with the main villain Infinite although i wish he was more explored in terms of his backstory and motive.

The theme that the world has gone to ♥♥♥♥ because Sonic Lost to Eggman and Infinite using the power of the Phantom Ruby.

The Custom Character. They have a lot of different customisation options in terms of animal, colour, facial features, clothes, accessories and weapon and are alot of fun to create.

Its connection to Sonic Mania.

Negatives:
The game is way too short for a mainline triple A Sonic game. It'll take probably a couple hours to get through the story.

The levels last about 1-2 min and never let go of your hand. The levels are also super linear. To the point where you feel like your just holding the boost button and maybe pressing jump a few times in each level.

The controls are all over the place. Especially when it comes to the custom character. i dont know why but equipping certain Wispon weapons just makes the character super slippery for no reason.

For a game thats over pretty quick, Sonic feels really slow. I should feel like im rolling around at the speed of sound but i feel like im im just taking a casual jog even when boosting.

Classic Sonic. I love that Classic Sonic is here and that he's the same Sonic from Sonic Mania as that game ends with him and the Phantom ruby getting transported to another universe. However he plays no part in the story and interacts with Modern Sonic like once and its just a reference to Sonic Generations but he is mainly just there for the sake of being there.
But that doesn't really bother me. What does tho is that Classic Sonic has the worst controls in the entire game. He feels so slow and heavy and has no momentum what so ever.

Overall this game was a disappointment at the time. Its short, has the worst level design in any Sonic game, Doesn't let go of your hand the entire game and has bad controls for the characters.. However i wouldn't say its bad as i was into the story and its theme and the custom character is a lot of fun to play around with. Theres even free DLC that gives you 3 extra levels as you play as Shadow and see his side of the Story.

i'd give the game 6/10. If you like Sonic, then go for it and give it a try but get it on a sale. otherwise don't bother.

Not as good as Resident Evil 2 Remake but still good.

The game takes place right before RE2 and during the late and endgame at the same time as RE2. The game even shows us how a couple things happen that we find in RE2 but in that game we dont know how they happened. it also shows us the fate of a character in RE1 which is pretty cool.

The zombie virus is spreading throughout Raccoon City and Jill is being hunted by what is called 'The Nemesis'.

as for positives. Jill and Carlos are good protagonists and have great chemistry. The Nemesis is a great and terrifying antagonist. RPD makes a return.

As for negatives. it focuses on action and combat more than it does for horror and the horror element that i loved in RE2 is sacrificed for more action. The Puzzles are nowhere near as good as they were in RE2. the side characters are forgettable.

Sucks that the game doesnt get any new content anymore but there are still alot of people playing the game and wait times for matches are not long at all. At least for me.

The gameplay for me is pretty fun and a bit addictive. I really like all the different classes you can play as and the customization options for guns, perks, emotes, outfits etc.

Unfortunately the game is pretty grindy. You gotta grind some challenges that arent hard but just are very time consuming to get certain guns and gun mods and stuff like that. There is a money/credits system where you earn credits from challenges, but idk what they are for i think its for when the game was still getting updates. idk.

Overall its a pretty fun shooter set in the Star Wars Universe and has alot of characters to play as from all 9 movies. It has a decent amount of different game modes to play, alot of unlockable content, good gameplay, alot of people still playing it today. I would love to see this game get more content updates or a Battlefront 3 as we have had more Star Wars content released since such as The Mandalorian, Andor, The Acolyte, etc

It 100% has that good Adventure Time Charm in its writing, characters, voice acting and looks/vibes there is no doubt about that.

However this is a poorly made game. Bugs, Poor animations, boring gameplay, a pace that is slow and the a story that is kind of mediocre in its connective tissue.

It doesn't tell you when it takes place, but its near the end of the show and will have some spoilers if you aren't caught up.

If you got this for a kid that loves Adventure Time you wont get any complaints.

But if your not a kid and are a fan of Adventure Time i would say get this on a discount but in terms of game design dont get your hopes up.

This is one of the best horror survival games i have ever played, definitely in my top 5.

The game takes place not long after the first Resident Evil and you play 2 separate stories with 2 characters that inter connect with each other.
You can play either Leon's story or Claire's.

For both stories, you play 90% the same levels apart from the very start and a side story with characters they meet.

Leon is a cop starting his first day in Raccoon City working at the RPD. Unfortunately a zombie apocalypse has broken out and now he has to get to saftey and save people whilst solving the mystery of the virus.

On the other hand, Claire has come to Raccoon City looking for her brother Chris and meets Leon at a gas station on their way to Raccoon CIty and are both attacked by zombies.

However each story has 2 seperate side stories within the story. For Leon, you play as Ada Wong for a little bit and for Claire, you play as Sherry.

The horror is really well done and i actually jumped a few times at the jump scares.
I like that the zombies don't just die with 1 head shot and actually take a few shots to go down.

Next there is the Lickers which are alot like Clickers from the Last of Us. They are blind and rely on sound to find out where you are. they are super fast and can climb walls and are very spider like.

Next there are huge monsters in the sewers that can poison you and live in the water.

Finally there is the Tyrant. He will just turn up randomly and cannot be killed. He is huge and follows you around trying to catch you and its really nerve racking when his music creeps up louder and louder as his footsteps also get louder and louder.

The gameplay is you solving puzzles and managing your inventory and the game is really effective when it comes to that especially when it comes to combat as you have to decide if you wanna use your limited ammo and risk it even if the monster may not die or try and get past them another way but risking your health which you can heal with herbs if you have any and you have to manage them too. The puzzles aren't too hard but also aren't too easy.

Also saving your progress isnt automatic. You have to manually save at type writers so if you arent careful, you can lose alot of progress.

Negatives i do have are you play the exact same levels and most puzzles in both playthroughs. it actually kind of bugs me that playing as Claire when you get into the RPD, Leon has left by that point story wise however all the puzzles he had to solve and all the items he had to gather to get out has all reset when Claire gets there. it not a huge problem its just something that bugs me a little.

Overall i give this game 8/10. Really good.

While it does take a while to get into the actual horror of the game, its still really effective and creepy horror that goes to some dark places and shows off some dark imagery. Especially regarding mental health.

Just wrote a review for Bendy and the Dark Revival so thought ♥♥♥♥ it i'll write a review for the first game.

Bendy and the Ink Machine is an Indie horror game set in an abandoned Animation Studio.

Immediately i was hooked by the games setting and atmosphere. Having a horror game set in an abandoned late 1920's early 1930's Animation studio and takes alot of inspiration from Cartoons like Disney's Steam Boat Willie or Max Fleischer's Bimbo cartoons. They make it work Really well and really creepy.

The gameplay in this one is fine but im glad they worked on it for Bendy and the Dark Revival. Basically there is alot of fetching things in this game. Especially in chapter 3 and it gets really repetitive. Also the combat is very basic and doesnt really evolve.

other than that though the game is great. I love its story and what it sets up (Which gets explored alot more in the sequel). I love how creepy it can be with its setting and atmosphere and its a great starting point for something that can rival Five Nights at Freddy's.
