Ripped my heart out and punched me right in the gut, left me to stare at my screen at the end. After feeling the same way with Signalis I am starting to question space travel as a whole. I don't think the stars are that worth it anymore.

A game that obsessed me the first time came back around for another round and drug me even deeper. I was enthralled by the rich universe and story that has been created here. I can't recommend it enough. It is such a unique experience that I can hardly compare it to anything I've played in recent times. I would've paid more for this. I look forward to see what becomes of this work of art you've made, Karbonic.

Gonna be completely honest, after the first 30 minutes of optimization hell, I am safe to say that the early trials were worth it. A story that sticks to the core of 40k, the beautiful, immersive set pieces. This is THE 40k game I've been waiting for. The combat system has taken some time to get used to, but there's nothing more satisfying than pulling off a chain of executions and heavy hitting slams into the horde that surrounds you (before you turn the entire place into a red mist). And it's not just the melee. The ranged weapons have the most satisfying bolter punches I've seen in a 40k game yet.

The multiplayer PVP mode could use some balancing, and the campaign AI really needs a tweak or two, but this is something that nobody is a stranger to at this point. It's an expected headache when you make gameplay surrounding co-op and then give us robots with the brains of a sloth to back us up.

I accidentally purchased the early access pre-order, but as far as I'm concerned, it's been worth every penny, and will be for a long time to come. Especially with the solid replay value. I may have distrust in GW, but nonetheless I am very content with Space Marine 2.

I come home from my automation engineering job where I'm surrounded by a maze of conveyor belts and robots to play this game, and I still don't know what the f*** I'm doing.

Finally, after a few weeks of server headaches, the AFK timer on matches solved nearly all my problems. Occasionally I'm in the queue but it does not take hours to get in.

This game is a fever dream of an experience, coming from someone that would play HD1 on the PS Vita solo for nearly 10 years. I never expected a sequel, hell, I laughed when the NVIDIA leaks happened a few years ago and saw "Helldivers 2" as one of the confirmed games. Then suddenly within a few months, the game gets announced officially. I was stunned. And when it arrived, for once instead of playing the game by myself, plenty of friends were all picking it up. It's everything I loved about the first game, but kicked up to an 11.

I am not one to enjoy the concept of live service games. Not having the ability to play offline like I did with the first game is disappointing. However, as it stands, my opinion has slowly started to change. I've never enjoyed myself with a service game like this yet. We'll see where this takes us.

A disaster of a port that we just watched Valve essentially execute on full display, and then gave us the option to play with pieces of it's corpse still. A fitting end for an infamous (yet integral) piece of Source history.
