I think it's a great game if you look at it as it's own thing and drop the classic DMC lens. As the game progressed I found myself liking this Dante more and more, when before I didn't like him at all because he wasn't "The" Dante.

He's standoffish at the start and edgy, but I think he has a good character arc and was fun to follow through the game.

While I prefer the OG franchise a LOT more. This wasn't as bad as everyone makes it out.
