LiS:TC is a great game and unlike the previous games in the franchise they released all the chapters on release, but the game is this episodic. When I was playing on the release day, there were couple of bugs, but it was fixed the next day. Honestly the playtime isnt that long tho, after finishing all the episodes I only spent around 8 hours finishing the game, so remember you’re paying 60$ for a 8 hour game. Gameplay wise, it’s very different from previous lis games, where you can free roam the small town of Haven Springs in episode 2-5. But by having the feature to freeroam you bound to miss alot of conversation or choices. As Alex Chen, you have the option to tap into people’s emotion and know what they are thinking, so everywhere you go, you can see what people are feeling. Even though the power isn’t as good as previous games, I’d say it’s a prefect match for the story. The story is really good, I like how decknine make some mysterious plot about a shady big company who is in control of Haven Springs, and would do anything to stop people from investigating them. Alex’s backstory is very sad too, and from playing the first episode we know kinda many things about her. Unlike LiS/BTS some episodes here have some time jump. I like how LiS now actually give you the option to choice who you want to romance either Ryan or Steph (Steph best girl). Side note: You can actually play arcade in this game, and you can try to get the high score. The Game graphics and visuals are great too, the game supports Ray Tracing. The game visuals are more colorful compared to the last 3 games. Honestly If you are a big fan of this franchise you should buy the ultimate edition where you can get the LiS/BTS remastered and LIS:TC Wavelength which you can play as Steph.
