As XCOM Veteran, having 13000 hours in it, I can give this game a fine critique.

played on nightmare difficulty.

Got all the cool stuff, found all the weapons.
Combat is nice as expected.
Gore is kept on leash, the execution kills are OK. Nothing too brutal.
It tries really hard to make players "explore" the levels but at the same time it feels like DOOM has become speedrunner catering, every aspect of the game is towards "Get high on cocaine and switch weapons after every shot". Exploration gets a bit boring after a while, it's the same oh look under there woah who could've guessed!? Or jump there or dash here. And after you've got enough upgrades, mostly you stop caring but get the FOMO, as if it could be something useful but it's yet another armor upgrade point. So essentially pointless and meaningless unless you are a completionist.
Soundtrack is fantastic.
Raytracing does ♥♥♥♥-all nothing, i mean do you really want to see reflection of your enemies on your shotgun barrels but play on 60 fps instead of 160? We had a thing for that called Screen Surface Reflections, but noo screw that lets get fancy! Create an underdeveloped tech for unprepared hardware and start jamming it into every game, sure some of us can afford a two thousand dollar 4090 GPU and play at 90 fps with RTX on but come on. Anyways this isn't an RTX rant. Doesn't affect gameplay just wanted to talk about ray tracing. Did you know there is a skin called Raytracer for ballista and it's super glossy? It's so that you can have more RTX even on your gun. That's how insane this crap was back then.

RTX on 70 degree celcius GPU on hot summer night with 40 degree sauna ambient temperature in the room.
♥♥♥♥ crashes when going to next level but it's like once each 30-40 min. So not so bad and can be endured.
Better than the latter option, the bullet impact visuals are extremely on crack, cranking hollywood up to 11 out of 10. Just TOO much going on makes my microplastic soy brainlet overfilled with visual information, tone down on the effects boss i get it it's guns and sparks and chunks are badass but 9mm won't blow out a cloud of white phosphorus out of a single brick.

Another very noticeable thing is the animations/mocap on the robocop himself. He just moves as if he was in a human body rather than stiff (like me in the morning) suit, Peter Weller did it and explained it great in the movie.

Treat us gooners nicely and make Judge Dredd game next, hopefully based on comics and first movies rather than the last reboot, it was good but comics judge dredd is on a different level of police brutality (doesn't even exist, what's that?)

Fun for a while but gets very stale after 4-5 attempts.
2 maps, a handful of enemies/monsters.
Repeating or otherwise useless gadgets and items.
It would be nice if there were different types of cameras.
Good potential but somewhat weak execution.
