A simple fun game without all the BS piled on top.

It's a PvE third-person shooter with some really fun mechanics that lend themselves well to great organic moments, whether it's a LOL-inducing death or an epic clutching victory from certain defeat.

Little things add to the depth of an otherwise shallow experience, for example:

Reloading throws away the leftover rounds in the mag so unlike most shooters you don't just reload any time you're not actively shooting. Ammo isn't hard to find but not so plentiful you can afford to waste rounds.

Friendly fire is a thing, for you, the enemy even your auto-turrets, if it is a bullet it can and will kill you, them and everything in between

Difficulty balances really well, whether you're running around solo, in a pickup group or with a dedicated group of friends you can easily dial in the difficulty so missions aren't trivial or impossible

Premium currency (a thing I loath) and battle pass
SO there is a Premium currency which I will never buy, but you don't have to, you can easily earn it in-game and what you buy with it isn't game-impacting its just more armor and helms and stuff

the battle pass is Halo style ... e.g. it doesn't go away with time so you can always get the stuff in it once you own it ... and you do not need to own it, the free path has IMO all the stuff I want, I do have the premium only because I wanted to support the devs so I purchased the supper citizen thing and as long as there is a direct cash way to buy the battle pass I will purchase them that way to keep supporting consumer-friendly monetization practices

As to performance, I have had no issues, I run a beefy machine but I haven't really heard of anyone having notable issues, the game runs really well.

As to server load, the game is very popular and the devs had a hard time meeting that demand but its better now so good time to jump in IMO
