Just got done playing through the intro and have been exploring Khobo. I've had ZERO lag and a constant frame rate of 60-100 fps on Medium with no ray tracing. I have an RTX 2070 and Ryzen 5600x, no issues whatsoever. I'm guessing I'm lucky that it's semi-optimized around the 2070 as it's the recommended card on the steam page. That's my only guess as to why, maybe it's just not optimized for newer cards idk. Overall, the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome so far and it's exceeded my expectations for a follow up sequel to a game I loved. Combat is better and more nuanced, the different lightsaber forms offer more variety in build structure, more force abilities, better parkour, more open world to explore, more lightsaber parts, WAY more lightsaber customization in general, better A.I on harder difficulties (I'm playing Jedi Master and it feels relatively challenging), and the graphics blew me away when I got on Khobo considering I'm playing on Medium and it still looks great. Much better start than the first game so far, and I prefer the more confident Cal that we have now, not to mention customizing the guy. Wait for an optimization patch and then snag it, it's a great game. It certainly doesn't deserve the hate it's getting just for optimization. You can tell the game itself outside of that has been very polished.

EDIT: This game is absolutely amazing. Most of the performance issues have been resolved and now it's in the shape it should have been at launch. The story had me gripped about halfway through, it never stopped throwing new mechanics at me, and the different lightsaber forms are so fun to change and switch your build around, not to mention the force powers. The parkour is fun and interactive, has a great flow to it. Characters and writing are fantastic, far above my expectations compared to Fallen Order. The overall story was very cohesive and had tons of plot twists and emotional moments. If you like Star Wars at all, you need to play this game, the combat reminds me a lot of Sekiro.

ALSO, the open world exploration of Koboh offers tons of content. Filling up the Cantina really makes the experience better.
