Even with the Re-Rainbow mod and nostalgia tinted glasses, this game's level design and story don't hold up nearly as well as one might think. The jokes are lame and most characters are absurdly flanderized to the point where they're not interesting. On top of this, despite being a Sonic game, a lot of the level design is about standing and waiting for the next part to come to you. And that's not even mentioning how the vanilla game plays, which is the same but infinitely worse than the Wii original. You're better off playing a different Sonic game. I guess if I were to leave a few positives, it's more about the original than the remaster. The music and art direction is stellar, and despite the voice direction and script being god-awful, the actors do a good job with what they're given. The children yearn for Unleashed PC
