Better known as TronFAQ in Tron fandom, I'm a member of the LDSO TRON 2.0 gaming clan, team member on the Killer App Mod and User Error 3, plus an Admin on the site Tron-Sector.

I've provided help and support for TRON 2.0 to fans over the years after Disney abandoned the game. I also develop projects for the game in my spare time, most notably the Killer App Mod but I've done a number of other things as well like maps, tools, and tutorials.

I might also work on projects for TRON Evolution on the PC, some day. But I'm in no rush because I don't like the game anywhere near as much as TRON 2.0.

@Mercenary Happy New Year! Yes, you need to install the Unofficial v1.042 Patch before installing the Killer App Mod. It has a few benefits over the official v1.042 already applied to the Steam release of TRON 2.0.

Regarding the extra launcher that Disney added for the Steam release of TRON 2.0, and then later fixed in 2017. The Unofficial v1.042 Patch has no effect on that. It only patches the game itself. The extra launcher will remain intact.

Hello. Happy New Year to you. Can you clarify if you need to install an unofficial patch to install Killer App Mod? It’s just that TRON 2.0 received a patch in 2017 that fixed the broken launcher.
